Sounds like the brake caliper is froze up on that wheel. you will have to pull the tire off,(make sure the car is supported by proper support with jack stands !!!!!! ). DO NOT use scissor jack only!!!!! Most likely you will have to beat off the caliper and clean piston area under the rubber boot. Clean and spray with WD 40. Using C clamp and old brake pad compress caliper piston inward to caliper, release clamp. Install spacer or use both pads and install in caliper ( OFF THE ROTOR DISK ) to stop piston from extruding out to far as you depress the brake pedal. Proceed to use C clamp and depress the piston back into the caliper again, do this a couple times untill it feels free and easy to compress. It helps to spray WD 40 under the rubber boot around the piston each time you depress the brake pedal to push piston outward. I must say though, be careful not to push the brake pedal so much that the piston on the caliper comes all the way out of caliper, as it is a real mother to get back in sometimes. that is why you use both old brake pads ( unless pads are worn down to nothing ) then you will have to use something else to use as a spacer that allows the piston to only move 1 to 1 1/4 inches outward. after freed up replace with new pads and check rotor as it might have got hot or gouged up (WARPED) GOOD LUCK
They look the same. your problem is either an emergency brake thats locked or a bad wheel bearing thats locked up. have you smelled brakes burning? if so,then i would say a brake issue. if not have you heard a squeling sound coming from the rear of car? if so then wheel bearings bad. either way the tire has to come off to look and see which it is.either one of these solutions can be your problem. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com
