2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4: The auxillery power outlet does not work. I have light tested all findable fuses and they are ok. I replaced the actual outlet in the dash and it still does not work. The diagrams on the fuse panel cover and the power dist. center do not specifally show which fuse goes to the 12v-20 amp outlet.Any suggestions?

the power outlet on my 2000 dakota is dead. I shorted it out with a bad plug. I've check all the fuses, all ok. under the hood on the left side is a electrial panel, in the panel are some cubes a little larger then dice. They are fuses. The one in location 14 is labeled 50 amp power outlet. My fuse checks out ok, but there is no voltage on the panel terminel for that fuse.

There is a 10A & 20A fuse located under the dash on the BACK of the fuse box.
Replace the 20A and your done.

I would visually check all fuses first(pull each one at a time), and if still nothing then trace the wires from back of the outlet to the source because the wires that plug into the back of the fuse panel may have pulled loose. it is a pain in the **** but it sounds like that is what may have happened.
good luck!

Need a fuse diagram for a 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4x4

Look underneath the cover for the main fuse box under the hood. It should have a diagram for all the main fuses along with the sizes and the relays.

Headlights, interior lights are out and service 4x4 light is on

try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. Then if you have a remote lock, lock and unlock three times in a row as this will often reset the computer. Or, borrow a code reader from one of the parts stores and see what codes are stored. Once you have the code, go online and Google it.

2000 dodge dakota quad cab 4x4 v8 air conditioning set on max stops coming out of the vents when accelerating or pulling a load and feels like it loses power, it doesn't do it on the next lowest setting....

Sounds like you are losing too much vacuum under acceleration. Possibly a partially stopped up converter, or bad intake manifold gasket. Possibly a bad door actuator in the heater box also, and the loss of power would be a seperate issue.

2000 dodge dakota sport blower motor won't work

Hi my name is Allen!

This is a very hard motor to get out!

This will save you time, if you have a test light and jumper cables, hook the jumper cables to the battery, then hook your test light to the positive side of the jumper cable, turn the ignition key on and turn the blower motor on. Next at the blower motor connector touch the test light to the negative side of the connector if the test light, lights up you have a good ground. NEXT; move the test light to the negative side of the jumper cable and test the positive side of the connector if it lights, you have power coming to the motor, if you have both power and ground you need to replace the motor, if no light on one side you need to repair the one that doesn't light up.
