I just bought a used 2002 Chrysler Town and Country LXi. It has a radio/CD/cassette. The power/volume knob pushes in fine to turn it off, but then gets stuck in the in position. That is, pushing the knob again does not pop the knob back out to restart the stereo. I can pull it out manually, but it is a pain when driving, as there is not much to grip when the knob is in. Is this knob easily replaced? Might a strategically placed drop of oil solve the problem? Thanks for any advice!

It may be a little off center, and that is making it stick. With some gentle pressure up, down, left, or right, see if you can free it up. Once you figure out which way it is off center, carefully bend it back to center. This is how I fixed the same problem in my wife's car.

SOURCE: changing fuel filter on 2004 chrysler town and country

  1. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • Negative battery cable
  2. Raise the vehicle and support the fuel tank with a transmission jack.
    • Fuel line from the front of the tank
    • Ground strap
    • Inboard side of the fuel tank straps and front T strap fastener and lower the tank about 6 inches
    • Fuel lines from the fuel pump module
    • Fuel filter
  3. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the fuel filter bolts to 40 inch lbs. (4.5 Nm), the main tank straps to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm) and the T strap to 250 inch lbs. (28 Nm).
  4. Start the engine and check for leaks.

SOURCE: low speed fan relay for the 2005 chrysler town and country

If you are talking about the cooling fan relay for the radiator there is no low speed and high speed relay. There is only one relay and it is behind the grill revitted to the bumper rail. It is doesnt look like you typical relay.

How do I adjust the clock on my 2002 chrysler sebring lxi convertible

On factory radios and many aftermarket tuners...you need to remove all CD's, turn radio power off, find (set) or clock button generally sets face to show clock instead of radio...most use the seek and scan buttons to set hour and minutes...the owners manual also shows step by step. Hope this helps.

My 1998 Chrysler Town and Country LXi mini-van radio does not work. Have an "Err" code displaying on radio when I try to use the CD player. Also when I turn on the radio there is a click sound...

Chances are there is a problem with the radio itself, and it needs to be replaced. You can find used radio suppliers on ebay, and most will answer simple questions via email to help you.

The clicking you hear near the fuse panel is probably an external amplifier on the system, my 2003 Durango has one as well. Normally you wouldn't hear the click because the stereo would be playing.

There should be a tiny model identifier on the face of the radio near the clock (RAZ, RBD, etc) which will help in figuring out the problem.

Check the power (fuse) distribution box under the hood. All the way up top towards the windshield there should be a small 10amp fuse marked "mem" see if that fuse is good and try it again.

This is an internal issue with the radio. As long as you don't suspect its intermitantly losing power then the only other option is the radio will need to be repaired or replaced. Replaced being the better choice.
