Ignition control module

I am tryint to find the location of the ignition control module for a 1996 Dodge Neon. I was driving down the road and the car just stopped (2.0 SOHC, manual trans). It wouldn't restart when I let the clutch out. I tried replacing the ignition coil, but still no spark.

My 1996 dodge neon with SOHC won't start. I replaced the crank sensor and the coils, and it still won't start it only has spark to two spark plugs

Same problem. 96 neon. No spark on number 1 and 4. Replaced coil pack and pcm. No voltage to coil pack at 1 and 4 from pcm.

Going down the road and the engine cuts out and all intstruments drop. replaced the PCM and the car still jerks. Car has always started after it died on the road. Mine is a 1995 model but everything sounds really familiar

Where's the ignition module location on a 1997 Dodge Neon?

the ignition "control" module is internal to the engine control module. however the ignition coil is mounted right on top of the engine on the valve cover. don't forget to unlock the lock on the connector before unplugging it or you might break the connector trying to unplug it

Location of ignition control module on a 2005 dodge neon

Hi Ricky,
It could be located inside the distributor, or mounted on bracket in the engine compartment or in the power train computer. What are your car symptoms? if it turns on, but as you're driving it turns off and it happens frequently; it could be the crankshaft position sensor. This was only suggestion that you might want to check out. I only paid $12.00 at auto zone for my crankshaft position sensor. Good luck and take care. :-)

Yes, it could be the transmission control module or a shift solenoid in the transmission is plugged up or burnt out so it doesn't shift up.
