The best solution is for a spark test of your ignition coil you should use a spark tester that will show you how strong and if the spark is efficient enough sometimes a spark plug can be used but not a good source the spark might be present but not strong enough to supply the spark plugs and fire them correctly. Most auto suppliers carry these spark testers these usually sell for $20 to $30.00 dollars for a good one. When you once have the tester you will need to test for spark the tester will advise you if good or bad.

What makes the fuel pump not kick on on a 92 Oldsmobile Cutlass

There is a red wire close to the battery in the front. It's not connected to anything. Apply positive voltage and that will run your pump for testing purposes.

Why does my 1989 Olds cutless ciera starter connections get red hot when starting the engine.

Before you do anything make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. Loose cables can do this as well. If that's not the problem
sounds like your starter is drawing too much power and is on it's way out. Could cause a fire Better get it fixed.

I have a1987 cutless ciera oldsmobile and I try to crank it it will start for about 5 sec and cut off what could it be? the fuel pump works but there is no gas getting to the carborator or some then cause...

First crank engine for 1 minute then with engine off pump the throttle on the carbuator and look for fuel.If you don't see any fuel then replace fuel pump.If you see that you have fuel then pull crank sensor out and check for cracks. If you see cracks replace sensor and reset computer.

94 oldsmobile cutless ciera locations fuel pump

1994 Cutlass Ciera has the fuel pump located in the fuel tank. 1996 and later units could be removed via removing the back seat and an access cover but your year requires the tank be removed to replace the fuel pump.
Take care.

Why is my fuel pump blowing fuses on my 94 cutless ciera s, i have fixed the burnt wires under the hood but it still pops the fuse.

Check the wires all the way to the pump. I bet there is another bad place in the wire insulation somewhere that is shorting against the body or frame.

1992 olds ciera just shout off

Sounds like a ignition control module failure. Check for spark at a spark plug wire. No spark then suspect module failure. Good spark-- Suspect possible fuel delivery problem. If spark is good then fuel pump may have failed.
