Interior light fuse blown ie no.10 fuse.
I have replaced it but it still blows, used a multimeter and a short circuit measured.
Any ideas of where to go from here!
Hi ,
remove pos batt cable 1st
I would start examining the door switches since they are a constantly cycling part, Im not exactly sure how many accessories run off the door switches but I would examine the drivers door switch, study how the switch removes from the door, gently pull switch assembly out, being careful not to yank wires loose. remove it and look for arcing marks or soot, try all the doors, then I would disassemble the dome light itself if you cant find it, if you find the short you should reinsulate with thermoheat wrap heated with a hairdryer and maybe even some extra electric tape.
good luck

hi,
Im thinking when the glass breaks usually the whole housing is replaced and its probably glued or snapped in from the factory permanently. Maybe a local auto body shop or local dodge dealer mechanic might know a trick, might give them a call. or you could go to the junk yard and get a whole new used one.

Thanks JM, appreciate you advise, which I have tried and now finally isolated the short circuit to the LH external side mirror.
I now have removed the side mirror assembly and now trying to dissameble the mirror from its housing...any suggestions of removing the mirror itself without damaging it.
cheers
