2007 Hyundai Santa Fe.Fob didn't work. Got locksmith to open. Car won't start. Got new battery. Won't start alarm kept beeping fob wouldn't turn it off. Won't start. disconnected battery. ??

Fob didn't work so the alarm immobiliser was armed and active when the locksmith opened the car - with predictable results.

Fob still not working - broken or needs new battery. Have you fitted a new battery into the fob?

The alarm immobiliser will probably remain armed until the doors have been locked and then unlocked with the fob.

There is a small chance the system can be fooled into thinking it has been disarmed by disconnecting the battery (overnight if poss) and then with the door open and the ignition key in and turned on, when the battery is reconnected it might be possible to start the engine...

would imagine you need to change the battery in the fob, when you put the key in the car after opening its regenerating the setting in the key, but losing it overnight because of depleted battery, do not know what you have in yours but they are normally a small coin type battery like this

Key fob not working

Double check the area where your remote is not working. These new key fobs manufacturers are using still operate on RFID signals if I'm not mistaken and those signals can be interfered with by technology transmitting these same signals within 50-200 ft. It might not be your "new electronics" might be your neighbors, or the power company has their low frequency signals interfering with your signals. Do a public search on your neighborhood and find out if any new electrical work has been done to your block.

Washed my remote key to my ford fusion what should I do

Try putting it in some white rice overnight. Rice has been know to absorb moisture out of cell phones so they work again after getting wet. It may work on remote keys as well.

Doors won't open with the key fob in the heat of the day

I think you might even have your car battery checked as it is the heart of all activity. Batteries can build up overnight and react differently in heat.

Along that line is the transmitter for your key-less, the mate to your FOB which needs and uses radio signals to operate. The heat may have gotten to the part inside your car. Heat messes with electric components and may drop the strength of the signal. This is what it sounds like happens if the FOB needs to be over the hood of your car to operate. The car part of the system does not have a strong enough signal to respond to the FOB. Could be a gap in the antenna in the responder.
