The insulation from my vw a/c is coming out through the vents when a/c is turned out, how do i stop this from happening?

Do you know where the pieces are coming from? It looks like rodent damage to the ventilation system. You could take off the vent grates and run the fan on max until it is all out. If that doesn't work, you'd have to dismantle the ventilation system and clean it out. To stop it happening again, you need to know what caused it. If it is rodents, some traps in the garage or wherever you store your car could help, as could keeping it somewhere else.

Sounds like the heater matrix has been damaged. Turn the heater to cold to see if still happen. If it stops, took under bonnet/hood to see if its coming out in engine bay.....

I assume you mean the horn. This sounds like a wiring problem. You may have a wire that has lost the insulation, either by rubbing or by rodents. When you go around a corner, the wire shorts to either another wire or come grounded metal which sets off the horn.

Some of the duct work is insulated with this and has came loose and there you are!

You vehicle works off a standard ignition key which links to a electrical ignition switch. The wire from the switch goes to the starter solenoid. That wire has a fusable link which operates like a fuse. If to many amps surge through this wire it will melt down inside the insulation. The insulation will not melt away causing a headache to most novice mechcanics. Pull on the solenoid wire a few inches away from the solenoid and see if it stretches at least 1/8 of an inch or more. If it does it has an open stopping the continuity to the positive lug to the solenoid preventing it to work. Any auto parts store sells these fusable links. The counterperson will suggest the crimping supplies and tools needed to purchase for this repair

Bad heater core. What is happening is when you turn on the air you are getting fumes from the heat of the engine and the heater core leaking causing you to get a smell and also fumes. I would suggest that you take it to the dealership or a mechanic and have the problem fixed ASAP due to the health issue

I have the same problem, but mine was because someone put stop leak in it! otherwise, check my profile, someone posted a answer that may help you.

the relay is going bad. its freezing up. this will sometimes happen when it gets stuck in the on position.
