Brake rotors are pressed on just enough to where they shouldn't come off when you are changing the tire .They are held on by the same studs that hold your time on . Remove the tire and tap the rotor with a wooden or plastic malord (hammer) it should come right off. Some car makers put some small bolts on them .when you pull the tire off you can see the small bolts if they are there ,just unscrew them and the rotor will come off .

Why cant I get the rear rotor off my 2007 dodge 3500

Being a 3500, I'm guessing it's a dually? The axle MUST be removed to take the rotor off. Remove the 8 bolts on the axle flange, then carefully remove the axle. Behind where it was, you'll find a snap ring. Remove that and pull the key block out. Using a brass punch to knock it loose, unscrew and remove the spanner nut, then the outer wheel bearing. After you do all that, you can remove the rotor.

How to remove rotor on rear of 2005 dodge 3500? Do I need special equipment?

If you truck has a standard rear axle just remove the caliper and caliper adapter bracket, then the rotor will pull off. Sometimes if the hub face is rusted it may take a little persuasion to come off. You can hit it with a ball peen hammer between the wheel studs, this is usually enough to free it. If you have a dually you will need to remove the axle shafts first by removing the bolts around the outside of the axle housing then pull the shafts outward. Then remove the caliper and caliper adapter. Slide rotor and hub assembly off of axle, then unbolt the the hub from the rotor.

Need instructions for installing parking brake shoes on a 2001 Dodge 3500 pickup

This is a big job for such a small part. I suggest you repair/replace rotors, pads, and anything else back there while you are at it. You will need to remove both wheels on both sides, as well as the axles (I think). See my earlier post on Rear Rotor removal to see how this is done.

You will need a large spindle nut to remove the axles.

DISASSEMBLY:
Once you have access to the parking brakes inside the rotor hat:
1. Lock out the parking brake w/a pair of Vise grips (on the parking brake cable under the cab)
2. Disengage teh park brake cable from behind the rotor assembly to allow easier disassembly of the parking brake shoes.
3. Disassemble the rear park brake shoes.

REASSEMBLY:
1. Reassemble the rear parking brake shoes. This is a typical, small brake drum configuration. Do one side at a time - so you can see how to reassemble each small part. Keep the springs and parts oriented the same: front to front and interior to interior, etc.
2. Release the parking brake cable
3. Install the disc brake rotor(s)
4. Install the disc brake caliper(s)
5. Install tire & wheel assembly
6. Lower the vehicle

How to replace rear brake pads on 2006 dodge sprinter 3500

replacing brake pads is pretty simple but because the results of not doing it correctly is pretty severe (can you say accident) I recomend you get a Haynes manual for your vehicle. Generally they can be purchased for approximately $20 at autozone. The basics for replacing brake pads (as opposed to brake shoes) is to losen the brake caliper so it can be moved up off the brake rotor. Then the old pads pop out. Next the brake caliper piston is pushed back into the caliper and the new pads fit in. Now the caliper is placed back over the brake rotor. Again, get the manual.

Need to remove and replace rear rotor

You have to remove the axle shafts first as it has a full-floating axle, then pull rotor and hub off the axle housing. Unbolt rotors from hub. Check bearings and seals in hubs and the axle snouts where the bearings run before installing. Put new flange gaskets on axle and torque flange bolts to 95 ft-lbs.
