Dealer should be able to do that for you for free as new as it is.
if thats the best answer you can come up with why even waste out time....obviously the person wants to know for themselves......your comment is about as worthless as a Haynes repair manual saying "this repair is beyond the scope of the backyard mechanic, take to a dealer for service" bs. I will find out and come back to update with a REAL answer and not some bs
Who asked you DF? I didn't see you answering the poor guys' question. Was I SUPPOSED to tell the guy to buy a $90 reset tool for his brand new car? It's an OBII scanner & reset tool, I hope you don't burn up too many BRAIN CELLS figuring that out FRANK!
On the MKX with message center, scroll down to settings, click right arrow, scroll down to oil change reset, hold the OK button down for a few seconds and the system will reset to 100% oil life...simply hit left arrow a few times to back out to the main menu....DONE
No oil reset tool EVER needed ....on any Ford vehicle that I know of...very few vehicles built that require an actual tool to reset oil life....any experienced mechanic would know that....so, if you dont know the answer to someones question and arent willing to put in the effort to find the answer then do us all a favor and keep your fingers off the keyboard...
hahaha.. you're only 4 months late
only because I havent been on the site in awhile since I actually work in a Ford Dealership as a diesel technician and havent had the time....I'm done wasting my time with you I have work to do...
better late with correct info that might atleast help the next person searching for answers rather that post right away with useless information.
