If I remember correctly, the Trans Range Sensor, has ALL kinds of GREAT STUFF inexplicably routed through it. It can cause some quite crazy things to happen. There is Heater Hose that likes to leak on the Trans Range Sensor. Look and see if it was contaminated.

I just had this same problem with a '96 . do you have a vats key in your '94? you need to bypass the VATS system. read some of the blogs on this site and it will tell you how to do it. I fixed mine with a $2 resistor from radio shack.

SOURCE: 2001 ford taurus wont start and anti-theft light is blinking

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

to reset the anti-theft, put key in ignition, turn to on but do not start, you must leave in ON position for exactly 10 minutes, once the light shuts off, immediately start car.

Can anyone help me with my Nissan x.trail 2005... I put the car on drive and after about 1hr driving,I feel that the engine getting weak and the speed steady on 20km/hr...while I keep my feet on the gas...

Is check engine light on, if so what is the code. From other cars I have had It seems like it could be a fuel blend problem. TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) MAF (Mass Air Flow) I have never had a turbo on any of my vehicles but I under that can be a issue if you have a turbo. Just wondering if you tried turning the car off when it started loosing power and see if it goes back to normal after you restart it.

No brake lights and unable to shift gears

There is an interlock that makes sure the shifter is in park, & keeps it in park, to get the keys out & to start the thing. The interlock system usually has a sensor in the transmission to make sure the vehicle is really in park, & another sensor to make sure the brakes are on, before allowing the shifter to move. If one of these sensors has gone bad, or maybe just got unhooked, that would keep the interlock system from releasing the shifter. Now, you also say there's no brake lights, so bet the brake light switch is gone bad & is causing both of the problems. It's up under the dash board, in the pivot linkage of the brake pedal.

How bad is this message? - "Engine Failsafe Program" which came up on the dash board. I still drove it as I had to drop off my kids to school. After drop off when I started the engine again the...

Sounds like this may be a "glitch". The maintenance items will not do this but it never hurts to keep up on it. The brake/tail light warning is 1 of 3 things; 1. faulty bulb/s, have some one turn the lights on and then have them step on the brakes while you look at them from the back. 2. Inferior quality bulbs. They will work in the system for lighting but will keep triggering the monitor/warning indicator. 3. Faulty BCM (Body Control Module), but not likely.

when the glow plug light keeps flashing.Thats telling you that you have a fault with one of the sensors.Take it to a garage and get it checked out with a diagnostic scan.

My 2002 sedona xl will not supply gas to the engine is it the filter or the pump.the pump does not seem to run when ignition is on. Where is the pump or filter located and how repaired. Cy

If your sure its a fueling issue I would go to the wires that go to the fuel pump and check for power and ground. When the key is turned on the pump will run for about three seconds if you do not start the engine. If nothing happens then try cranking the engine and see if you have power. If you have power you will need a fuel pump. The pump is most likely in the fuel tank as is the filter. If you do not have power at the wires the you have a blown fuse of broken wire somewhere. Be aware the fuel pump is computer controlled and if the crank sensor is bad the fuel pump will not turn on. Easiest way to check for a bad crank sensor is crank the engine and check for a RPM signal. If you have a RPM gauge on the dash most of the time you cannot crank fast enough to get it ti move. Checking the RPM may need a timing light. Also a timing light will blink if the crank sensor is ok. If you have no RPM signal you most likely dont have fuel or spark., Easiest way to check for if you only have a fueling issue is spray a little brake clean into the throttle body. If it starts and stays running while adding very little spray of brake clean then you know its just a fuel issue. Also if the timing belt has stretched or jumped teeth this would cause a no start.

Truck getting too much gas. 94 GMC Sonoma. V6 engine. Black smoke out exaust. Plugs keep fouling out. I Changed everything fuel related plus computer under dash board. Truck not starting now. HELP.

Did you check sensors such as crank senors? cam sensor? knock sensor? or mass air flow? Could all be causing it to get to much fuel. Just had same problem on 1997 Chevy Lumina

Some of the warning lights stay on.

so all the lights that come on when you first turn the key on stay on? maybe your alternator is not working properly? or not connecting to your dash panel correctly? or maybe the engine management system has a fault in it? more likely to be a dodgy connection to your dash board.
