I need to find the intake air temperture sensor in my dodge

the bad sensor is telling the ecu it is in danger of damaging the engine and so shuts it down to prevent seizure

You need a new intake air temperture sensor/ mass air flow meter. Located in the intake tube connected to the air filter goin to the throttle body

depending on the year & engine
intake air temperture (iat) will be mounted in air cleaner housing, or air tubing/duct work
coming into engine

manifold air temperture or intake air temperture sensor is bad . you can check the voltage on it when cold then w/hair dryer warm sensor up an check voltage if the resistance is more than 500 ohms then it is bad.

dont know what motor you have so here's all the possible engines

The IAT (intake air temperture sensor) is located in and part of the MAF (mass airflow sensor).

The MassAirFlow sensor on a Dodge Caravan is usually mounted in the air intake between the air filter and the throttle body, located on the intake manifold.
Sometimes mass air flow sensors are mounted directly to the throttle body.

The IAT (Intake Air Temperture) is the sensor that measures the temp of the incoming air to the engine, it is either in the rubber hose to the engine from the air filter housing, or on the air filter housing itself, it is small and round with 2 wires going to it, many times it is left unplugged during routine maintenance.
