My brake light has gone on and stayed on twice in the past three months. When I take it to the garage, they add brake fluid. Why does the car seem to be losing brake fluid?

Well if you are losing fluid you definatly have a leak as brake fluid is not a "topping off fluid". you could have a leaking master cylinder either externaly which can be seen on brake booster or it can be leaking into the brake booster filling it with fluid. other than that you also may be leaking from your brake hoses(one hose at each wheel), calipers(front wheels and rear if all wheel disc brakes), wheel cylinders (if you have rear drum brakes), or metal brake lines due to rust and corrosoin (run from master cylinder to each brake hose). please rate 4 thumbs if helpful.

Why does my 02 v0lv0 v70 xc have weak brakes

Hi, This sounds like the brake system needs bleeding if you know what your doing you can do this yourself. Should you not know what your doing the garage should be able to do this within 20-minutes so ne large bills to pay. Please leave me feedback, Malcolm Campbell.

TCS light and Brake light stay on.

The main reason the TCS light is on is because there is a problem with the main brake system. The traction control system uses the hydraulic brakes to help keep the car on the road in a skid or other event.
If the main brake system is faulty, the TCS can't do its job.
The hydraulic brake system may be working fine in your case, but the TCS does not know that.
I wonder if that low fluid switch can be bought separately ??

Emergency brake light stays on also battery light on

Assuming there is not a problem with the parking brake (as in a stuck switch), the red "BRAKE" light will remain on if your brake fluid is low (for your regular service brakes). Check your fluid, and if it is low, check your brakes and brake lines to be sure there isn't a leak somewhere, as this could be dangerous!

Brake fluid level will drop slightly as your brake pads/shoes wear over time. If you need brake pads or shoes, avoid topping the fluid off, as it will overflow when you go to compress the pistons in the calipers later on (when changing your brake pads). If you MUST add fluid, only add to the "FULL" mark. If you have a leak, remember the brakes must be bled after you repair the leak.

The battery light signifies a charging problem. You will need to check the output of your alternator, as in volts AND amps. Usually a local garage will be able to perform a quick (and cheap) check of your charging system. Check your battery too, to be sure that it holds a good charge.

Brake light on dash stays on but sometimes goes off when cornering. Whats wrong

Check your brake fluid level. If the level is low, it will cause this. Also- if the level is significantly low, have your brakes checked, or check them yourself. When brake pads or shoes wear down, the level of fluid in the reservoir will drop accordingly with it.

Grinding noise when stoping or braking and light is is on for AWD on 2004 pontiac aztec

If you have not had your brakes checked over in the past 9 months you may need them to be "skimmed". Take your car to your local garage and see what they can do. This can be a serious problem and may cause braking faliure.

Abs brake light stays on

There is no ABS brake light. Take the vehicle back to whatever service center/garage did the brake work and tell them to fix it.

91 Buick Century 2.5 L brake light on & battery light on

For the Brake light to stay on and the fluid is up...sounds like your sensor is playing dead......

For the battery to die after only (4) hours..you have a very big drain on the battery itself.....without the vehicle right here to look at would be very hard to even guess...electrical problems are a hands on chore...

I'd take it to your garage/mechainc
