I believe that the power wire is black with orange tracer on it.

I have a 1995 jeep sport it crank but wont turn a lot of people tell it could be fuel pump it could I really dont know it I need answers

If it cranks at normal speed, it could be the fuel pump or loss of spark. Autozone has a loan-a-tool policy. Pretty sure you can borrow or rent a fuel pressure gauge to see how good your pump and fuel filter is. Just hook it up to the test port on the engine's fuel rail, and turn the key to on, not start. It should immediately show about 40 pounds of pressure- 40 psi. If it is good, then it is probably an ignition problem, and you need to check for spark on a spark plug wire.

If the test shows no pressure, then the pump may be bad. It is not turning on, for sure. A final check before replacing the pump is to check that the pump power wire at the fuel tank connector has power on it with the engine cranking over. If it has power there when cranking, the pump circuit is good (all fuses and relays good). The fuel pump itself is the problem.

On that model jeep, if it is a Cherokee Sport like my son's '95 jeep, it is quite easy to change out a fuel pump. You don't have to drop the gas tank to replace the pump. The assembly goes into the gas tank at the front upper part of the tank, above and just back of the rear differential. I changed out the fuel pump on his jeep in a K-mart parking lot in a little under 2 hours. Wiggling and twisting the assembly out of the gas tank hole for removal was the most time consuming part. It was really quite easy. If you have ever replaced a pump before, .the jeep is a breeze.

95 grand jeep cherokee fuel cut off switch location

There is no fuel cut-off switch. If your fuel pump is not coming on.....does the check engine light come on, on the dash, when you turn on the ignition? If it does not then your ecu is in need of repair. If the check engine light does light up but the pump still does not come on then the pump or it's wiring is likely bad.

93 jeep cherokee-while cruising down interstate jeep sudenly started jerking, stalling, and lose of power. I pulled over to station. checked oil level, pressure, temp, alt output--all ok. jeep will start...

I don't know engine size? The fuel pressures I found was 31--39 psi, 92--95. I would use a gage and check proper fuel pressure.
How long since over-all tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes?

My jeep cherokee 1993 model four cylinder manual transmission has a problem with sputtering at 55-70 mph on the hiway ive replaced the fuel pump strainer ,filter and pressure regulator what is next?

I would suggest testing the fuel pressure. That would awnser the fuel issue without dumping money into unneeded parts. Next if that is not it i would also suggest checking your ignition system. Coil, distributor, plugs, and wires. People often forget about those things. Does the engine give you a check engine light???? If so you should have your computer read. The vehicle will tell you whats wrong with it. On 95 and older you dont even need a code reader to check the trouble codes. Just a paper clip, the right terminals and the key to the on position. The codes will flash on the dash of the vehicle useing the check engine light.

95 jeep cherokee wont start

You will need to narrow down your possibilities...do you have spark? do you have fuel going into the engine? Since you mentioned a storm, I'd look at spark first, checking the condition of the ignition wires cap and rotor. Wires should be dry, cap and rotor should not have any carbon tracks between any of the internal contacts and should be dry as well. Check for spark at the plug end of any wire and if none is present, check again at the wire from the coil to the cap at the cap end.
If the engine starts when carb cleaner is sprayed into the throttle body then the problem is on the fuel side, requiring diagnosis in that system.
Most common failures are crank position sensor and fuel pump but before going there, get a manual such as Haynes or Chilton and do tests outlined. Most parts are expensive and difficult to get at...you only want to replace what has failed.

90 jeep starting problem

Check the crank position sensor. I had the same problem in a 1989 cherokee 4.0, and the solution was simply to acomodate the sensor wiring. No replace was necesary

99 jeep grand cherokee turns off while iam driving

Jack up your Cherokee and look underneath for a wiring harness that leads to a sensor that is between the engine and trans. This is your crank sensor. Pull it out and check the condition. Mainly look at the wiring harness to the sensor. These Jeeps have a habit of breaking and your Jeep with just turn off going down the road. These wiring harnesses are available at the dealer and are fairly inexpensive.
