2002 RX 300 Power mirrors do not work (both sides) with dashboard control. Looked for fuse "power mirror" but none shown. Is this mirror control tapped off of another circuit? Would you know which one? Power windows work. It appears everything works but the mirrors. Do you have any ideas?

These are all controlled through a computer commonly called the BCM. It has self test capabilities, have the test run by the dealer.

I've had the same quandary with my 59 Ford Custom 300 and the more of them I've looked at, the more I've noticed it seems to be personal preference. Mine are currently positioned just to the side of dead center on the top and directly across from the hood cowl side to side. I've seen some positioned on the fender just ahead of the doors or even on the doors to about a third of the way down the fender. I'm getting ready to move mine rearward, I like the look. Those lights rarely burn out. More likely the switch on the brake handle came unplugged. Try grounding the wire from the ebarke switch with the key on.



For the mirrors, I would pull up the control panel and probe for power. Trace the power through the mirror sekection switch, etc.

The first thing to do would be to hook up a factory or professional type scan tool an check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . This vehicle has very complex electronic's. Serial data communication network,class2 data bus . There are electronic modules inside the door's that control the lock's ,power window's , power mirror's . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop . Not a fuse problem , driver an passenger door module each have thier own power supply. Two circuit breakers ,PWR/WDO circuit breaker 30 amp. You could check DRVMDL 10amp fuse ,located in the rear fuse box , PASSMDL 10amp fuse rear fuse box , RRDR/MDL 10 amp fuse rear fuse box . Rear fuse box is under the back seat . None of the window's , lock's etc.. work from any door switch ?

CHECK FUSES FOR POWER WINDOW,CHECK FUSE FOR POWER MIRROR AND CHECK FUSE FOR POWER DOOR LOCK.IF FUSE OKAY DOOR CONTROL MODULE FAULTY ITSELF.

check acc fuze and cig lighter check to see if anything else is not working, check for power to switch.

check the breakers in the fuse panel not fuses brealers there is atleast one for power windows
witch usually controlls the locks too

I had the same problem with the power mirrors and I found the cigarette lighter fuse blown, I replaced it and the mirrors worked.

The fuse block is usually under the dashboard, as well as additional fuse box under the hood. Your owners manual would give u that info, if u don't have one, it can be purchased @ Lexus site, don't know how much though. If fuses aren't labeled as u say, just pull them out 1 at a time and check to see which one is burned out. An auto parts store would probably help u locate the fuse box under the dash, (which is where I think the blown fuse is) they want to sell parts, and offer a lot of free services to customers such as testing components, installing wipers etc. good luck countrycurt0
