if the filter or fuel system was faulty , it would not restart immediately
I would be checking items like the crank position /cam position sensors
immobilizer system
ignition switch ( dangly things hanging off the key switching the ignition off)_
try running the fault codes to see if anything else like the dti sensor module has loose connections or is faulty

I have an '03, and if the mounts haven't changed, you get at the bulbs by opening the hood and removing three screws that hold the headlight assemply - large screws in plastic tabs. ONce they're out, pull forward on the inside edge (toward the centre of the grill) of the headlight assemply. Should slide out toward you - might hear a 'snap'. Once it is out, unscrew the 'cap' behind the light, diengage the spring clip and pull out the bulb.

THE FUEL FILTER IS IN THE FUEL TANK, THERE IS An ACCESS PANEL UNDER THE REAR SEAT CUSHION.

could be you have a few bad glow plugs or a relay for them or a bad glow plug controler. the glow plugs are basicly a direct short that creates heat that warms the air in the cylinder to aid initial start.they can be checked wiyh an ohm meter. remove the wire and place one lead on the wire connecter of the plug the other to a good ground.you should have good connectivity. if not replace the plug

It is mounted on the tail end of the transmission. It has two wires coming out of it typically.
