I assume you have a 6.6L V-8 installed in the truck. If so, the block heater is located on the Right Side of the engine block in the center Freeze Plug boss.where is the block heater - smogteacher_14.jpg

SOURCE: block heater

Hi, I own a Ford but you may have to do what I did and get under the front bumper and look up and around that area to look for the cord and plug. I have spoken with others and we all have had the same problem, the manufacturer ties them up behind the bumpers for somereason and then you have to hunt for them! Crazy I know but I have come across this at least four times. I hope this helps you. John

SOURCE: I cannot find the block heater plug for 2000 ford f350 diesel

if you are certain that one is even installed... look around the headlights on the inside of the car.... they often have the cord fed thru that area.

Where is the block heater location on a 2005 Lincoln LS ?

It is on the side of the block you will need to jack the car up and look for the freeze plug that has the block heated connected to it.

Where is the block heater cord located on a mitsubishi rvr?

If you can't find the block heater cord, your RVR probably doesn't have a block heater!

I am looking for the location of the block heater plug on a 1997 Golf diesel, thanks

There is no specific spot for a block heater. A block heater can be in any location the block currently has a freeze plug in. You'll need to look over the block carefully - you will see several round "ports" on the block and one of them will have a wire coming out of it. A freeze plug looks kind of like a small dish in the block, whereas a block heater will look more like a flat plug with a wire. It could be on the side or back of your motor - rarely is there room for a block heater on the front of a motor. Look in the front grill or in the general area of the radiator and you should see one end of a male electric cord( like the end of a lamp cord you stick in the wall ) . Follow this wire to the engine and it will lead you to the location of the block heater. You will probably need an inspection mirror and a flashlight to find the other end ( in the block).
Hope this helps!

Can't locate block heater cord on 1992 lumina

Your car may not have a block heater, but if there were one, you could see it on the bottom front of your engine ( gotta get under car to see) and the cord , if you have a block heater should be plainly visible.

Location of block heater cable on 05 F350 diesel

The block heater is already installed in your 6.0. The cord may not be there as it is an option in some states and standard equipment in others. The best way to see if your cord is there is to crawl under and look up by the # 4 cyl and you will either see 2 prongs sticking out for the cord or you will see the cord. The cord should end in the front bumper behind where the front tag would be. If you dont have the cord Id suggest getting it off ebay as it should be cheaper than the dealer. Hope this helps.
