My 2006 Ford F150 driver side door sensor is not working. When I open the driver side door the interior light does not go on, and there is no warning sound to notify me that my lights are still on or the keys are still in the ignition. When the passenger door is opened the interior light does go on. Any suggestions on how to fix it my self?

I am a master ford tech and see this concern weekly ! more often then not its a dirty door ajar switch which is located in the latch in the door. get yourself a can of brake cleaner with a straw and a can of wd-40 from a parts store and install the straw in the brake clean now spray the latch liberally then close and open the door six to eight times, next spray the latch with the wd-40 liberally then close and open the door six to eight times, this more often then not will fix the issue. if not you may have a bad switch or a wire broken where the wires past between the body and the door (near the hinges) hope this helps

The above suggestion is half assed and explains why we get such poor service from Steelerships. The Ford/Mopar sensor is a two piece unit that should be removed entirely from the door lock, opened in half, and cleaned with electrical contact cleaner and blown out with air in the bottom electrical section, and lubed with white lithium grease in the top section (above the thin rubber cover in the top). Before re-installing the door lock system and buttoning up the door, make sure and fully test the sensor: 1) once all the electrical connections are reconnected, press down on the swich (simulating the door opening). The light should come on, and if the keys are in the ignition, the "key in the ignitiion" chime should sound. 2) Inspect the little locking tab which locks the sensor into the door lock; it should look like half of an arrowhead (half a triangle), with a flat bottom. If the bottom has been ground away (upward), it is likely the cause of the problem, as it will no longer correctly maintain proper alignment in the door lock (replace). The part number for the 2004-2008 F150 is : 4L3T-10B997-AE, also sold as part number SW6129.

Fobs are not working on my 2010 ford explorer changed batteries and still dont work. what fuse relates to the fobs

Did you try programming the key fob? Your owners manual has this info. I don't know if programming will help or not? Just a thought.
fleet.ford.com should have your owners manual, if you don't have one,you can read it for free.
Also try owner.ford.com
has owners manual you can look at for free.

Door adjar warning light stays on. Dome and cargo light stays on.

You need to remove the door ajar sensors from the doors and clean and lube them. You must remove the interior door panel then remove the door latch. Then twist the switch out of the latch to work on it.

My power window interior door lights quit lighting up could the bulbs be blown

If the power window itself still work fine, and the illumination on the driver's side door lock still work, then the LEDs behind the switch are the issue ( usually bad solder joints ).
If you are talking about all doors other than the driver's side, do you have the window lock on ? The lights on the switch turn off when the driver's side window lock is enabled.

Driver side window wont go down but if jumped to go down will go up. also when pushing down button interior lights flash and relay clicks

have a short inbetween the fuse box inside and the door switch, a broken wire most likely. i fixed a ford tuarus that had that same problem, was a broken wire where the door opens in the rubber boot

Drivers door sensor not working. Electric fuel pump is not activated when drivers door is opened. Warning for lights left on when exiting car not operational

It's the switch on the door frame that detects when your door is open. VW's are notorious for this problem. It either needs to be cleaned or replaced. Definitely try cleaning it first. It might be stuck in the "door closed" position.

Warning light does not go on when door is open and lights left on 2006 Honda CRV Thanks

Is the overhead interior light switch turned off with the effect that when the doors are opened the interior light doesn't come on. Alter the switch setting and open the door: if the interior light comes on then you should see the warning light come on if the vehicle lights are left on. Failing that it's likely to be a faulty doorswitch or the cable and connector to the doorswitch has become detached. Try unscrewing the doorswitch and withdrawing it from the vehicle body and check that the wire is still connected. Check using a multimeter that the switch operates electrically when open and closed. Replace or repair as appropriate.

Drivers door power window control stopped working.power mirrors won,t work interior lights want come on when you open drivers door but the other three doors interior lights come and the power window...

Since it is only happening on the drivers side door to multiple switches and lights on that door only, I think the problem is the wiring harness as it enters the drivers door by the door hinges.

Power windows dont work and the same problem with the power locks

the harness that is between the drivers door and the "a" pillar probably has some wires broken.

Door Ajar Warning Light Stays On

Our Ford Expedition & an Olds Silhouette Premier & both did the same thing. Someone online said to spray the inside door where the metal connects with the frame & sensors are there with WD-40. We did & it fixed the problem. Maybe this will work for yours.
