I'm trying to find out the code for my peugeot blupuntk sterio. it says error 4 on the screen. make of the car is a diesal 206lxd. reg. v473 pkk. can anyone help?
I had my battery replace yesterday and now i need a code for my stereo the problem is that it isn't the stereo that i got with the car and they haven't got any records of my upgrading it? I think it's awful that i should have to pay any money to get this "code". Do you know of any way to help me please?

I had the same problem with my peugeot 51 plate, and the peugeot dealership said they didnt hold the codes this far back, If you havent had the car from new the previous owners may have written the code in the manual for the car. I did try various websites trying to get my code but none of them worked and in the end had to pay £5 to get it re-programmed.
You need to ring the Peugeot Dealers, as I had that problem with my Nissan radio on my Nissan. The dealers were able to immediately provide me with the right code to input and radio has worked no problem since. When I disconnect battery I always need to re-input the same code. If your Blaupunkt wasn't Manufacturer fitted, then whoever of your previous owners who fitted the stereo would have the code, or have you tried Blaupunkt themselves, don't know if they keep codes?

if you fit the towbar yourself, you can kiss goodbye to your warranty.....peugeot are very strict on this.(assuming you are in Europe.)for USA,things may be different.anyway the wiring loom makers should put a diagram in with the wires....
i don't know what error 2 is. It might mean that you tried too many attempts to enter the code, causing the radio to 'lock up'. When this happens, some radios 'auto clear' the error code after a fixed period of time (anywhere from 3 hours to a couple of days). Others can't be cleared without sending the radio back to the manufacture (but try simply disconnecting the battery, and reconnecting it, first) Assuming that you can get back to the position where you can enter the code, here's how to do it. I'll use the code 4968 for my example: Press button 1, 4 times Press button 2, 9 times Press button 3, 6 times Press button 4, 8 times Press button 6.
try leaving your ignition on for an hour or so and see if the error 2 message changes to the option where you have to input a code.
check you peugeot manuals to see if the previous owner has noted the code down if not hopefully you should have a stereo manual whihc will have the serial number on it .if not then you will have to remove the stereo and get the serial number off the back. if you take the serial and logbook to a peugeot dealers they will beable to give you a code usually free.
