GMC uses the radiator to cool engine oil in some applications. IF you have engine oil in the coolant then the oil cooler has failed. you need to get this fixed as soon as possible. The oil will mix with the coolant and become a thick gooey mess that WILL NOT circulate in the cooling system and cause severe engine damage.

There has been a problem with the Dex cool orange antifreeze deteriorating the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets, causing coolant to leak in to engine. If there is antifreeze in your oil, it will ruin your engine. If you find antifreeze in the oil it will cause the oil to become thick and frothy and will not lubricate the bearings and other moving parts, causing an engine failure. If there is evidence of coolant in the oil, do not drive the vehicle. Have it towed to a repair shop and have the gaskets replaced, oil and filter changed, cooling system flushed and refilled with GREEN antifreeze that is compatible with aluminum radiators and engine parts.

Engine leaking on upper left of engine 2005 envoy sle happened one week after oil change

Hi Dave, if it's leaking from the VVT, upper left, next to power steering pump, replace it. Not uncommon for it to leak there, and would NOT be due to your oil change.

My envoy is losing oil...but it is not leaking on the ground. where is it going?

You could have bad piston rings. If they are bad oil could get in the combustion chamber. An easy way to tell is by running your car, if quite a bit of smoke comes out of the exhaust then you have bad rings. Also check your oil filter make sure it is on tight and not leaking.
