Same problem, no front wipers. checked all the fuses all are fine. not sure but i cant hear the washer motor working either

I have the same problem too. A few months ago it happened and I figured I blew the wiper motor. I called the guys I take my car to and they told me it wasn't the motor and I'm going to get this wrong in description but it was something along these lines... There's some sort of pump thing that needs to be cleaned out. I know it sounds weird but in all honesty I wasn't paying total attention and since the problem was fixed, I never questioned it and knew I didn't have to by a new motor so I was totally satisfied. But as of today... it happened again. They slowed down and then stopped and won't turn back on.

Vw touran 1.9 tdi 2007 year model , front windscreen wiper not working , new fuses new relay ,is there a relay or control unit near the wiper motor ?

You need to test for ground... to assure yourself the motor is good. 1. Remove connector, 2. Use a mutimeter, set it to continuity... touch both ends of meter together should show resistance of wires to meter... multimeter good if change is shown... TESTING WIPER MOTOR OK? 3. where the connector was attached, should be 2 connections if it is 2 wire unit, with both of those connections see if the motor has continuity, touch both red one side black on other... if it shows change closer to zero the better... if there is change then good motor determined if not then it is OPEN... Will not work, replacement or repair of motor necessary. Let me know if there is more needed... AS THERE IS MORE... if it is in the car wiring. Either way an Open Ground it sounds like! Luck be with you.

Hi I have a 2004 Volkswagen touran tdi sport and the driver side wiper has stopped working but passenger still is working I have replace the motor and checked fuses and still not working can anyone tell...

It is usual for both wipers to be operated by a single motor via either a linkage or a cable - most often by a linkage.

I expect from your description the linkage has become disconnected from the driver side wiper pivot.

Rear window wiper wont turn off on my vw golf tdi 2OO2 MODEL

Hi,
Looks like the problem is in the wiper mechanism switch.
Located in the base of your wiper, wires are connected in that area, one contact point might have fused itself to return contact point. Check on that and let us know.
You could check also the rear wiper switch, the contact inside might have fused with "on" contact point.
Hope that stops that reckless wiper!
Thanks for using Fixya!

VW Fox. My front windscreen wipers wont work. I cannot see that they are frozen as the washer works ok. I have checked the manual and it say the fuses for wipers is located at no 29, the only problem is...

My wife has a 08 Fox and her front wipers stopped working it's just a fuse in bank 7 a 10 amp just replace with a new one or swap for the 10 amp fuse in bank 11 (just a warning lamp for the handbrake) until you get a new one. ;-)
