Acceleration problem I have a 1998 sebring convertible with the 2.5L V6 that seems doggy when you accelerate from a dead stop. I changed the plugs, wires, distributor, rotor, plenum & TBI gaskets (thinking I had a vacuum leak) and it still seems to bog down when you take off. Could it be a fuel filter issue or a bad cylinder or injectors.

I have the same problem. I have replaced the crankshaft and camshaft sensors, spark plugs and spark plug wiring, wiring harness, fuel pump, catylitic converter, both O2 sensors, fuel injectors. The only thing I have left to replace is the computer does anyone have a solution? Thanks

There is a port on the fuel ine to check the pressure, it looks like a tire valve, it should have a plastic cap on it. Do you have a guage?

SOURCE: Spark Plugs

your spark plugs should be in either one of 2 places.
1 while you are stadning in front of the car look down there should be some what looks like black caps with thick wires coming from them. in this position you plugs will be torward the bottom of your engine.
2.look to the right or left of the engine. you should see the same thing black caps with wires comeing out of them. thoses are you plugs. now all you have to do is take one wire off at a time. to do that grasp the lower part of the wire shoudl be the black cap do not pull on the wire it's self you might break the wire. from there you should be able to see the top of the plug.

SOURCE: 1992 Chrysler LeBaron 3.0 L.

the owner probably rerouted the fuel line because like my 92 chrysler lebaron v6 3.0 the fuel lines keep seeming to come off and the clamps always break. I have replaced the clamps 5 times in a month and replaced filters 2 times in 2 months. The only thing i could think of is that your fuel is being cut off possibly because there is no filter to clean all the junk out. Try putting a fuel filter on and see if that will work

Depending on the tightness of the socket fit and the engine, carefully pull the spark plug out of the bore

Why does my 1998 sebring idle fine but sputter badly under load.

Does it use spark plug wires or individual ignition coils for the each plug?. My 98 intrepid uses coils and occasionally I have to change them out cause it would start to miss when normal temperature was achieved. If it uses wires, try replacing them, along with the spark plugs.

Acceleration problems: really doggy and won't accelerate. My 2005 Grand Prix base model has 50,000 miles on it and ever since I bought it about 8 months ago I've had problems with acceleration. It always...

Check/change air filter.
Check/change spark plugs & plug wires. The wires can be check with an OHM meter, and the specs for the resistance in the manual. So can the ignition coils.
Change fuel filter...easy.
Last, if you have scanner...check MAF(mass air flow sensor) for operating specs...5g/sec at idle to 300gal/sec+ @ 3,000 RPM.

Car hesitation

sounds like the coil pack is failing or you could just have water in your fuel.... buy a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze (it sucks up water) and add them to your tank when you fill up.... if that doesn't fix it it is likely the coil pack

You have a vacume leack, most likly on your PCV valve, or on the intake manifold there are a few rubber hoses that you should check for cracks and or leaks. When you find it go to the part store and buy then replace, you may e-mail me if you have any other questions [email protected]

Heater only blows heat when accelerating

I think you might want to start with thermostat replacement and pressure flush the system and as other suggestion check levels when car is COLD!!!!!!
