Interior locks I am a public defender intern researching general information about the 1992 Cadillac DeVille. 1) Were child safety locks a standard feature on this vehicle? If so, it is my understanding that if the child safety locks are engaged (on any vehicle), that particular door cannot be opened from the inside. Is this correct? 2) The DeVille in question allegedly had a feature which would automatically lock the doors when the vehicle reached a certain speed. a) Would this feature have been available on a 1992 DeVille? b) Would this feature have locked all 4 doors or just the front 2 doors? c) If the locks were engaged in such a manner, could the doors have been opened while the vehicle was in "Drive" and in motion?
