Hi,
when the alarm is activated and i open my boot, the alarm doesn't go off (doesn't make noise). can someone please tell me where i could find the fuse for the boot alarm.
My boot light no longer works. the bulb is fine, i think its the fuse. where can i find the boot lights fuse?

    Thanks for your assistance.

It was the push button next to the lock of the luggage compartment that was a bit stiff.

I used a lubricant spray on the lock and button.

    It now works.

    Thanks once again

The luggage compartment light uses the dome light fuse. So, I would say that the problem is most likely a bad switch at the boot lid latch. Failing that, there could be a bad connection at the junction connector which is located at the base of the left C-pillar (the part connecting the quarter panel to the roof).

Hi there I have a 2009 fiesta zetec s tdci, sometimes when driving a warning noise sound and says the boot is open but the boot is closed and when I lock the car after about 2 minutes the alarm goes...

You may have a broken wire in the harness that runs from the car to the tailgate.

The wires bend backwards and forwards every time the tailgate is opened and they eventually split the insulation and the wires poke out and touch each other, causing short circuits and problems with the alarm.

Take it to a local mechanic and get a quote to fix it.

I've done this before and it's about 2 hours work.

BOOT OPEN but not open warning light on dashboard say this with red warning light

The sensor is located and probably built into the boot latch. The sensor is good because the light goes off if you close it slowly. the latch is just worn out with that particular part. Replace the latch. It is not hard to replace if you have a few hand tools.

My Volvo S60 Fuel flap won't lock or unlock,

The pin solenoid that activates the remote locking is not receiving any electrical signal, it must have been unhooked. This solenoid is right by the filler door, inside the boot. The alarm activates on electrical differences, such as dome light, boot light or filler door electrical demand when it is activated. Hence, the alarm wont trip off if door is opened manually from the outside.

I have a 55 plate VW Golf 2.0 Fsi - the alarm keeps going off by itself! We disconnected the battery last night (to get some sleep!) and it's started again today.... agh, HELP!

You probably have a faulty door, boot or bonnet lock.If you put the inside light switch to the setting for the light to come on when the doors are open, close all the doors and see if the light goes off.If your model golf has a display on the dash,it shuold tell you which door is open.It could also be a faulty interior sensor or a faulty alarm horn.A diagnostic machine will be able to tell you which was the last alarm activation.

Alarm sound turn on when i lock the car l

one of the door or bonnet or boot switches is not working and its telling you it's not closed. if your interior lights are not on when you close the doors then it will be the boot or bonnet switch playing up. disconnect the wiring to the plug on the switch and you will find the faulty switch when you activate the alarm.
