My 04 Cadillac Deville is leaking tranny fluid on the driver side near the wheel. It seems to only do it when i carnk up and pull off in reverse or brake to turn into my driveway.i have multiple dotted streaks in the street where i enter my driveway.I've wiped everything down 4 times and still cant find it.I replaced the axle seal on that side and it's still leaking.

Hello: First check the red cap on top of the transmission (driver side under the hood) You may have to remove part of the air cleaner assembly to access it. Make sure it has a "O" ring seal on it. You have to push it down then turn it to lock it. If the cap is on correctly and it leaks then the left axle seal may be bad or the gasket on the side cover or at worst the side cover could be broken. All the above needs to be checked. Happy New Year.

How to remove front left drive axel 2004 cadalic deville

front left is the drivers side. remove the wheel, remove the axle nut, disconnect and separate the ball joint, remove the axle from the spindle then pull the axle out of the transmission, you will loose some transmission fluid.

It wont down shift

Whens the last time you changed tranny filter and fluid. it may be the vacuum modulator or your bands inside the tranny. Pull out your tranny dipstick when running and check level of tranny fluid. Add dextron II of needed. Smell the tranny fluid on dipstick to see if tranny fluid is burndt. if you change filter and fluid, add a can of trans-x to the fluid. Will help seals in tranny.

Brake fluid is leaking from what appears to be some type of small (index finger size) filter in the brake line under the drivers side passenger door. I've never heard of a filter in the brake line,...

i think what your referring to is a proportioning valve that regulates the pressure to the brake that the line goes to,this helps regulate brake pressure to all the wheels so they are the same during braking so there is no wheel lock up while the other wheels don`t lock up.this is a common place for the fluid to leak out when the car gets old enough due to environmental conditions such as winter driving, corrosion, wet weather (lots of rain),salt conditions(living near salt water),it will have to be replaced and the brake lines should be checked for condition as they may need replacing as well.

1994 Cadillac Deville - won't shift into reverse after sitting overnight or for a couple of hours. Will shift into 1st and then will shift into reverse. What is causing this?

Check the transmission fluid level, reverse needs twice the pressure to activate that drive does. If low refill and try again. If fluid good, I`d say the tranny 3rd reverse clutch is worn out. Recheck the condition of the fluid on the dipstick, if it appears burnt or very dirty I`d still suspect internal tranny clutch issues. It also has a low reverse clutch, but goes into 1st gear as you said.

I have a massive powersteering leak on my 2001 Cadillac Deville that leaks some where underneath the car, between the trans and the fly wheel(?) need help. paid alot of money replacing unnecessary parts

Going by your description it sounds like you have a transmission leak and not a power steering leak. It seems like the input shaft is where your problem is. To verify this you need to jack the car up and get under there and actual see where the fluid is coming from.

A motor or blower keeps running(near windshield) even after car is turned off

Relays are bad, need replaced. Located on driver's side wheel well underneath the hood. Visible are 2 relays on my 1990 Cadillac Deville that had this problem.

Tap the relays to see if it shuts off. If it does, this is the problem for your Cadillac Deville, I'm certain, of this.

It will seem to run on high even though you switch the car off.

lol.
