Hello, Can you hear the motor run in the seat back? If you can hear it run, you could have a broken track. They are made out of nylon so they do break. If you can't hear a motor run, you probably have a bad seat switch. Can you pull the headrest up with your hands? If so, try pushing it down because it may have come out of it's lock.
If you want to inspect the mechanism, take the two screws out of the bottom of the seat back, and pull down. You should be able to see if the track is broken.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Need Radio Code for ML320 Mercedes Benz

The main dealer will supply the code usually for a small charge.
Have a look on line first though because some are offered freely .
You will need the model year and chassis number.

I own a 2001 clk430 mercedes benz ,when i insert my key into the ingnition and try to start the car it wont go to first position. My steering lock doesnt unlock. Anyone can help me ?

Problem:
I own a 2001 clk430 mercedes benz ,when i insert my key into the ingnition and try to start the car it wont go to first position. My steering lock doesnt unlock.
Solution:
One possibility...Has your battery been disconnected? If so, then it could be causing the system to not recognize the key (assuming your key has a battery and the battery is working).. If key has battery... Check it. If you have had the battery serviced and it was disconnect the computer may have to be reset.. I have had this happen with a few radios (after service).. Suddenly no radio.. Took it back to repair shop.. They reset it..
Always can ask at dealer.. I like to ask the parts department. I pick their brains before I decide what to do... I find they are very helpful (of course, I am chatty and friendly)..

Hope that helps,

Radio wiring code for 1987 mercedes benz 300. With aftermarket radio the windows switch ligths blinks and have no instrument ligths.

Hi, the aftermarket stereo does not use the illumination wire. You must tape that wire off (purple/gray). That wire is either connected to the wrong place or is touching chassis ground and causing your instrument lights to dim.
Connect the stereo's red wire to the car's black/yellow wire; and connect the stereo's yellow wire to the car's red/white wire.

After replacing the battery on my 2004 Suzuki Verona, we learned that we need to reset the radio with a code. We called the dealership and they told us that it would cost $50 to have this done. Is this...

If you pull your radio out and get the serial number off of it then under most circumstances they can give you the reset code for free. The $50 they want to charge is basically for them to take out your radio to get the serial number off of it so they can pull up the reset code for that unit from their database.

Radio dead after battery failure. possible anti theft code required?

Yes, alot of cars have this feature. It is a anti-theft feature so if it is removed you need a code to unlock the radio (or if the battery is unpluged). If it's an after market deck than it should be in the manual if no manual than try googling it. If it is the factory deck than more than likly you will have to go back to the dealer to get the code. Good luck.

1998 volvo v70 radio displays off

Turn the key to position ONE (turn one position from where the key is inserted). The radio should be left on. Make sure the a/c blower is in the off position. There should be no dash lights on. It should reset somewhere between two to eight hours. After at least two hours it should read CODE again.

If you cut the power, or the battery goes dead it won't reset.

I hope this helps.

Car batterys cant all be faulty?

Disconnect the positive terminal of the battery.
Place a 20 amp meter inline, (poss to battery lead, neg to battery)
And see if you have any more than a few milliamps of drainage for radio memory etc.
Anything like 0.25 amps or more and you have a component on the car that is ON.
Boot light, is it going out? 5w bulb in a 12v circuit = 2.4amps so a 75ah battery = 30 hours to dead flat.
Do you have electric windows? Is one still trying to close as in stuck relay or switch? (Had that on a porker 924) put your ear to the doors and listen for the hum.
Test 2, fully charge battery but leave car with alternator wires disconnected. Still goes flat, it’s on the car, no? It’s the alternator.

Hope that helps, Pete

How do you disable the alarm on a mercedes benz 300E 1987

Use your door key and unlock your drivers door ... that is what disables the alarm system. Make sure that the battery is rehooked... because i'm sure you took the battery loose when you couldn't get the alarm to turn off.
