I don't know what his is, please explain what it is used for. Also why won't it start, no spark? No fuel pressure? engine mechanical failure? Please run some basic checked and let me know the results.
sounds like your timing belt broke. Go to the passenger side of the engine compartment and take off the top plastic timing cover. Watch the belt as someone turns it over. if the belt does not move while being turned over then you need a timing belt.
VW are bad about moisture getting within the coil and other components that fire the engine. It should still start even with a bad plug or wire, it would run like ****, so it makes me think the coil isn't firing through the plug wires. Get the coil checked out. Hopefully the fuel pump hasn't went out.
if car turn over not start could be many things.faulty fuel pump.broken or stripped time belt.bad spark plugs.broken loose or disconnected wires at the ignition coils or a bad mass air flow sensor.its best to hook car to scanner.to help pinpoint problem faster.
