2006 Chevy Silverado 4wd HD. Blower motor started running all the time even whe the key was removed. I removed the fuse under the hood and the fan stopped. It now works only on speeds 1-4. Is there a high speed relay replacement or do I replace the whole relay system?

There could be partial contact in the blower controls which has resulted in total loss of contact, in blower speed affected. replacement of the entire blower control switch should resolve it

The entire control switch seems to work fine. When I replace the fuse under the hood, the blower motor goes back to running continuously on 5 until I pull the fuse back out. Then it goes back to working only with speeds 1-4.

It's definately not the control switch. I just pulled out the blower motor relay, resistor, wiring harness assembly from under the dash on the passenger side and that is the problem. I can see the connections in it are getting fried but nothing has melted yet.

My 2006 Chevy Silverado 4X4 blower fan stays running after ignition shutOff?cannot control the fan speed either,The display turns on&off every time, settings & bars to show the fan speed work etc.

It sounds as if the blower motor relay is stuck, on your vehicle the relay is part of the blower motor resistor, the resistor is behind the glove box.I hope this helps. Take care. If you have more questions for me about this vehicle or if you just want to say Hi! use testimonial. Thanks

Air conditioner has stopped blowing. what do I check and where is it located on my 2006 Chevy silverado

Try the 40 amp blower fuse under the hood or the 30 amp under the dash. The check the blower resistor motor under the dash on the passenger side. Check the connector plug to see if they are damaged.

Why doesn't ac blower work on number 5 setting? it is a chevy hd gas engine

Most likely the blower motor resistor. It's mounted next to the blower motor under the dash. Also check the 7 wire plug going to it, GM had a problem with that plug, and the wiring getting hot and melting. The plug is $68.00 from the dealership. One of my customer's car had the same problem.

2006 chevy silverado 2500 4wd a/c fan will not blow, fuses chek good

look under the dash on the passenger side and you will see the blower motor, unplug the electrical connector and inspect it take special notice of the third pin from the left. they seem to have a common problem in that it melts the feed wire to the blower motor, a replacement plug kit can be found at most autoparts stores.

2004 Chevrolet Silverado Heater/AC Blower on without Ignition ON

there is no relay for the heater fan it's a 15 amp fuse and is on the accessories circuit. the reostat is responsible for all 3 speeds .with the key off there should be no voltage to the blower motor whether the fans speed fan switch is on or off. the fuse will be located in the fuse paneleither on the drivers left side in the dash or underneath the dash in the fuse block. you have a short in the harness that is under the dash and most likely it's a bad plug on the harness. your going to have to do some searching but that's where the problem short is... please rate
