The work you did should not have any effect on the cruise control, unless while you were working you accidentally disconnected a wire or vacuum hose. Check everything that is connected to cruise control under the hood to make sure nothing is loose. Also check the fuse panel to see if there is a fuse that has blown.

Mitsubishi Magna 2013 v6, top motor ticking, cruise control not working, car shudders when at traffic lights, replaced Dizzy, leads , spark plugs. Added injector cleaner to fuel, and something to free the...

Ticking is a loose valve, needs valve adjustment. Oil on spark plug is most likely a bad piston ring. Which goes in conjunction with shudders when stopped. Sometimes you can see this by running the car for a few minutes, then open the oil fill cap and smell, if it smells like gas or exhaust then its definitely bad rings. Ultimate test would be to pressure test the cylinders.

I just replaced my spark plugs and air filter and am actually getting worse milage. What can I do? and my cruise control is not working, I have checked the fuses but nothing appears wrong. Am I missing...

Did you use the same type of plugs with same part number? Did you check the plug gap? If so you know should better spark and air to engine. Try cleaning fuel with a new fuel filter and a injector cleaner.
Also check to see all wires are back on and right never hurts to recheck your work. Are any of your dash lights on? Was your cruise working before you did the mini tune up?

In 1998 2wd Grand Cherokee cruise control stopped working

Do the brake lights work now, as they should? The brake light switch generally triggers the cruise control to snooze.

Just stopped running at 65 mph

It sounds like a faulty ignition coil, or ignition module. Both of these things are fairly easy to replace.

Obviously it is worth while checking all of the fuses first.

You could obtain some aerostart (or similar starting spray), and spray a bit into the air filter. If the car does not even splutter, then it is most likely an ignition system problem.

Another option is to remove a spark plug lead, and attach an old spark plug to it, then earth that plug against the body of the engine. Turn the engine over, and watch for a spark.

It is pretty easy to figure out how to replace a faulty ignition coil. Just obtain a replacement, and observe how the existing one is fitted. Unplug any wires that are attached to the old one, and plug them straight onto the replacement. Unbolt the existing coil, and bolt the new one in place.

2003 Ford Sport Trac Cruise Control Sticking

I "HAD" the same problem but fixed it.

'03 Sport trac w/70,000 miles. Started around 60,000 mile mark with light flashing briefly, only engaging 1in 10 times. Also, I noticed slightly decreased gas mileage around the same time.

Cruise Control problem corrected itself when I replaced the spark plugs and wires. Owners manual reccomended replacing plugs and wires at 100K. Do yourself a favor and replace them early. They were very difficult to get out. I noticed arcing from wires to block and several areas of friction damage to insulation. Wrap new wires with sheathing and tie wraps to prevent friction problems in the future.

Galant Special Edition 1994 Motor does not start

this maybe caused by no fuel or faulty fuel pump, ignition coil, wire and plug crank position sensor. first check for spark by removing on spark plug wire and put a spark plug in the spark plug wire boot, donot touch the plug only the boot have someone crank the car over. if you see spark, that part of the ignition is good. if not, check the coil resistance if should 40 to 80 ohm with a volt meter pf not replace. if ok, but no spark check the igniton control madule make sure the coil and module are receiving current. if not check the fuse that feels them. if it is ok, check distributor cap and rotor. if rotor and cap are fine, check for fuel at either the fuel filter, the fuel return line or removing some spark plug and see if they are wet. if there is no fuel check the fuel pump and the fuse and relay that control the pump. if there is fuel with high pressure but there is no spark, check the crank sensor for signal with a volt meter while cranking the vehicle
