Checking fuses is good, but, you also need to check voltage on applicable fuse circuit, use a test light. Even if the fuse is good, if no voltage on the fuse circuit, the circuit is still dead.
Your dash lights may be wired through headlamp switch? I can't look up anything w/o more vehicle info.
Our fuse diagrams come from the owners manuals which are available online, these manuals only go back to the 2004 model year. I suggest you try eBay for a used owners manuals.
it should be listed on the reverse or inside cover of the fuse panel box or listed in the owners Manuel book ..........check your local library for free or for or purchase at any most parts store
not sure if it's the AC... sounds like a short in the starter / solenoid... check the wiring harness that runs from starter to battery.. if it popped free from mooring it could have gotten too close to exhaust manifold? or engine block and melted the sleeve allowing bare wires to short out..
or check the spark plug cables... if the are "dry rotted" or crack when you bend them (usually closest end to engine block) they will short out and kill the motor out even while driving...
will try to scan the fuse box schematic and post for you..
