Can I install a a 2007 Camry CD/Radio unit in my 2002 Camry?

I can probably go to an Auto parts store and look up the connector specs for my 2002 Camry Radio/CD/cassette player, but since I happened to come across this site here's my question. Since my 2002 Camry CD player does not play MP3 CDs, I wanted to replace it. I came across someone selling an original 2007 Camry Radio/CD player on eBay since he/they swapped it for a Navi system. I called a local Toyoto dealer parts dept and was told that as long as the connectors match, I should be able to install the newer unit. Can any expert confirm that the connectors of my above 2002 player are the same as the one from the 2007 unit? Thanks for a quick reply.

The 2002 and the 2007 radio connections are markedly different. Remember that the 2007's are "satellite ready"; this changes the back side wiring configurations dramitically.

2002 camry wont start, has a new battery. the lights dim on dash when trying to crank. tried tapping starter, the car cranked, but once car is turned off, it would not crank without tapping starter

In all probability, your starter is drawing too much current and needs to be replaced. If you can get the car to a commercial auto parts store, they can test the load draw (there is usually no charge) to see if this is your issue.

I havea chrysler voyager 2002, cd stuck in radio/cd head unit, wont eject and displays error message on display when prss cd button

You'll p[robably have to remove the radio, open it up and manually extract the CD. This may be a dificult repare if you're not somewhat mechanical. I've had to remove one in a similiar situation. I just started removing panel to get to the radio, then the radio. You can probably take your car to a good auto radio shop and they can remove it for you. They will want to sell you a new radio and not attempt to extract the CD. Good luck.

2002 ford explorer radio removal and installation procedure

You have to have special ford radio tools. they look like two horse shoes. they clip into the two holes on either side of the radio and then you push outwards and pull on the clips at the same time and the radio slides right out. the tools are usually inexpensive and can probably be found at local auto parts store

Music system

This is pretty easy on the MX5 - just a matter of removing the existing unit and replacing it with one you want. It might pay to take a bit of a note about which cables were which before you do it - otherwise it might be a bit of trial and error!

One of the easier jobs to do - make sure you check you've got the required connectors - if you need new ones, auto or electrical stores stock them - you'll probably need to get a crimping/wire stripping tool as well.

Hope this helps,
Sherwin
