Question about 2001 BMW 325
Upon turning the engine over a squeaking noise comes from the serpetine belt in the engine compartment.
Check your power steering fluid, usually the noise from the power steering belt when you turn your steering wheel, just fill up some transmission oil to the power steering pump.Maybe can stop the noise.

Usually (and I say this without having heard it myself), the noise is caused by a loose or worn out belt in the engine. The best thing is to have it looked at, or if your not worried and you think the belt is fine, buy some belt lubricant at your local automotive
