I took the car into Winner ford to see if it was the lower control arm bushing again. i also had the oil changed and part of the oil change service includes the lube service, of which the steering stop bushings were lubed. the noise is gone. i have had the lower control arm replaced once (car had only 1500 miles, now 3300) it had sounded like an old man with arthritus!

Hello i want to grease the bushes on my 2006 Sebring to stop it from squeaking but I do no no where to look to find bushes . Wanted something to show how to do it and need to see what I am looking for

are you sure its the bushings making the noise? first off you dont grease the bushings. a lot of the squeaking i have seen comes from the ball joints. that generally means they need to be replaced. you need to make a real inspection of the front suspension. none of the parts that come on these cars have grease fittings. usually the upper strut bushings are the first to go. like i said, you need to make an inspection. you may have parts that are failing. this can be dangerous if one fails. there are bushings, 2 each, on both the upper and lower control arms. the lowers are where the arm attaches to the frame. the uppers are attached to the upper strut mount. generally you would replace the complete control arm assemblys

2001 Buick LeSabre Ltd. 128,000 miles. All new front struts and rear air shocks and stabilizer links. Even before that I get a creak (sounds like rubber) from both front sides when I go 15 mph over sp

Sounds like it could possibly be the upper or lower control arm bushings squeaking. There may possibly be a grease fitting on the control arm bushings, if so, have them greased. In fact get a complete grease job from a qualified mechanic. If the squeak stops then you know what is wrong. Then make sure you keep your care properly greased. Usually every time you change your oil or at least twice yearly.

My front in squeeks an creeks when i hit a low spot or bump. I have had in the shop 3 times> I bought an extended warranty. I am bought ready to give up.

Front end squeaks are usually caused by rubber suspension parts. The most common source are the sway bar bushings. Nest would be the control arm bushings. You can spray the bushings with penetrating oil to see if the squeak stops. This would only be a temporary fix. Do the sway bar bushings first. Spray them down really good, and drive the car for a couple of days. If the squeak goes away, you will know you need to replace the bushings. Do the same thing to the control arm bushings. If you replace any of the bushings, use a high performance neoprene bushing, and use the special lube available before installation. The sway bar bushings will be an easy fix. The control arm bushings will require special equipment, and will need to be done in a shop.

2003 chev trailblazer creeks as you stop or hit bumps

A few things to check, I'm going through this as we type here, and have narrowed mine down to the front A-arm bracket, which is located on the bottom of the frame with bushings.

Check your swaybar links (if you replace, I like Moog brand,it's greaseable), swaybar bushings both front and rear for both. From there, check the a-arm bushings , and finally, the upper and lower control arms. The way to narrow it down further with bushings is squirt silicone lubricant on these bushings and see which one i creaking. Forgot one more common squeak, it's your hood latch, lube it up good and adjust the hood stops up a bit and use some rubber lube for the stops( Napa has this) . Had that squeak for 7years until last weekend, dealer couldn't even find it.

I have a rattiing coming from the front end when I drive

I have a 2002 Escape with +100,000 miles. I've replaced a number of parts in the front end. A simple, annoying rattle is probably the Stabalizer Links. They're probably 10 inches long and cost about $10 each aftermarket. They can be tough to remove.

A clunking, painful rattle or knocking may be a lower control arm bushing. That takes an entire control arm to fix for +$25 aftermarket.

A light squeak when you turn is probably an outer tie rod.

Good luck!

I own a 1997 Nissan Maxima (43,000 miles) and it has a suspension problem. There are some squeaking sounds in the front suspension and are more notorious when the car is cold, recently I (not personally)...

I would suggest replacing the lower control arm bushings along with the sway bar bushings (4 pcs) in the then have a mechanic jack up the back and ascertain if any looseness is detected in the rear control arm assembly

2002 Dodge Stratus Squeaks

I would check the lower control arm bushings and sway bar bushings for the squeak, and the shaken when breaking means you have warped rotors,if it shakes in the steering wheel its the frt,if the whole car shakes then it usaaly means it is in the rear rotorsor drums.
