FUEL PUMP SWITCH where is it located

A fuel pump switch? Never heard of one in all these years working on Pontiac since 1872. Gall a GM parts dearler and ask them. They will tell you the same story I just told you. The pump runs off the relay only

Is there a breaker or fuse for the fuel pump on a 1991 Pontiac Firebird with a 3.1 leter engine? If either where is it located?

The electric fuel pump's operation on that vehicle is triggered by the powertrain control module, activated by a relay (likley located under the hood in the power distribution center, if not check the fire wall and underhood near the fenders) and protected by a fuse (the fuse is likely located in the fuse block that is under the dash, if not it will be under the hood in the power distribution center).

Fuel pump inline fuse for firebird

First clarify stock ELECTRIC fuel pump in tank and you say CARBURATOR. If its not EFI , something is not right. Check for a 20A fuel pump fuse, with a 12V test light. IGN ON The oil pressure switch is on the engine block engine type unknown ). It the engine loses oil pressure (i.e. stalls) the fuel pump will shut off. Hope this helps.
