If you pushed the car by the door itself or swung the door open hard, you could ha e stretched the door harness and pulled wires apart. There is a little accordian styled boot that 'protects, the wire loom leading to the driver door electronics. I wonder if you have noticed your alarm horn doesnt beep when locking the doors from the remote. Or you can only lock and unlock the driver door only from the driver door. If thats the case there may be an open in the wires leading to the door lock actuator; which controls things like lock/unlock functions of all doors and windows, door warning lights, etc. Have the harness repaired
Hi Louis, The courtesy light switch is wired as follows. Power goes to the light. The light is then grounded through either the switch on the light or via each of the door switches. The reason for the interior light to remain on is that one of the door switches is worn and grounding all the time. look for a broken switch or one which is rough when operating. Regards John
this can be a big problem so will start on easiest first. and try to repair as going, the passenger door the problem with this could be the solenoid for the door lock. and or the switches in the lock. driver door has the same but is the master door. ie if you open door from unlocking at pass door it will only open this door, drivers side will open all doors. flashing hazards this could be because the alarm is not completely turned off this could be because of the doors, mainly the drivers side. try to find the fault with the door lock and get back to me when you have found the fault. you will need a meter to check for volts and the switches, check them as lock unlock from the inside and the key to make sure they working. dpd spray should be able to clean them if you can spray into the lock and housing that is plastic. give a good flush out after its working wipe up the mess from the spray and mear grease on the lock moving parts.
take the door panel off and open door ,then check the wires in the rubber boot from the door pillar to the door and i think you will find a broken feed wire
Had a similar problem with my Saturn. Door chime going all the time, the seat belts going up - down - up for no apparent reason.
Turned out to be the switch in the door jamb had become unseated. As it randomly made and broke contact, the cars computer thought the doors were opening and closing, then acted accordingly.
I remounted it with the help of a hot glue gun (plastic mount).
. Seems like the system is not being diarmed. If it wont disarm with remote or by the door klock key, try this. Don't use the power door lock button to lock the car. Lock it MANUALLY till its repaired
