I have the same problem at the moment. Someone suggested it was a vent control motor with an OEM part number 16164972. It is located under the dash by the "drivers right foot" though it looks like there are some covers that have to come off. I am looking into this today, let me know if you have found anything.

Driver side vent blows hot air, passenger cold air with a/c on

Low Freon level can cause this. Also it can be caused by the left blend motor, have your freon charge checked first.

My lesabre blows warm air on driver side cool air on passenger side

If you have dual climate control, you most likely have a low freon level. The evaporator can get cold enough for the passenger side (where the evaporator is located), but not cold enough to transfer cold air to the passenger side. Have it inspected for a leak and the freon level topped off.

My 2003 4 runner A/C runs hot on driver side and cold on other

I would doubt that the freon is the issue, if one side is cold. I would look at the air doors; look under the dash and see if the arm needs lubed up on the driver side of the air box.

2001 buick lesabre-ac problems

  • Assumed your AC unit is OK, but uneven temperature distribution. Try to throw the heater on an off severtime. A sticky valve on the heater would cause similar problem.
  • Observe the RPM while parking your car. While the AC cut in cut out (or turn on an off). If it cause no load on the engine. The freon may be low or the compressor is bad. In this case only the intake side of the evaporator is cooler than the other side.

2003 accord air conditioner

Hi there. When a compressor is replaced, two things are in fact being replaced - both the compressor and the refrigerant (Freon) and if the problem is resolved as a result which of those two replaced elements caused the original problem? Well you will never know and so before the compressor is replaced you need to have you’re A/C system recharged – it’s by far the most cost effective initial thing to do. In general A/C systems loose at least 10% of their effectiveness each year through loss of refrigerant and so given the age of your car; it’s the first thing to focus on. A professional A/C centre will also be able to tell you whether your compressor is working properly after having a refrigerant recharge by the monitoring the operating pressures in the A/C system.

2003 accord air conditioner

I ad this problem fixed and it cost $35. Apparently, this happens when the Freon level is low for some reason. They refilled the Freon and now I have AC on both sides. Don't forget to replace the internal filter in the glove box.

Check your freon level the pressure switch will not allow the compressor clutch to engage if the freon level is low.
