They can run with out a cam sensor but they will not run with out crank signal i would check for crank signal it may not throw a dtc because it wont start.

The cam and crank sensors have the same power wire. Go after that one. They also have the same ground, but other sensors connect to it also. So it's not the ground. And they have separate return signal wires. Not them either.
P0340 Chrysler - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
I would charge the battery with a low amp charger over night.
then check the Cam Position Sensor. How to Test the Cam Sensor Chrysler 2 0L 2 4L
P0340 is cam position sensor. P1685 is for the key(has a chip in it) P1684 is battery has been disconnected. If the engine will still crank then codes P1684 & P1685 are probably old codes. So if the car will still crank, lets forget about those codes and focus on P0340 A bad cam position sensor will cause the engine to die and not allow it to start back up. Replace the cam position sensor and clear the code and the car should start up.
This could be related to a loose camshaft drive belt. If you have slack in the belt the camshaft will rebound on over run causing the P0340. It can also be a Crackshaft sensor problem too.(P0335)
Hope this helps...
My thought is to get a refund from the shop that tried to replace parts in order to secure your problem. The job of the shop is to diagnose the problem, not to replace items that may be the problem. Chrysler Master Techs are not trained to just replace parts, they fix the problem by diagnosing it properly.
You need to see a Chrysler dealership so they can attach a DRBIII and tell you exactly what is at stake.
I hope this helps you. I would be mad as heck.
I would not think the plugs and wires would be the problem because they would all have to fail at the same time to provide the symptom you experienced.
check the battery and make sure it has a fully charge, also check to make sure the start motor pinion is not jammed in the flywheel, and check the coil pack to make sure have spark.also check the crank sensor
change the crankshaft positon sensor in the rear of the engine above the oilfilter. Also check the wiring to this sensor, they have a problem shorting out. You have to change the camshaft and crankshaft sensors at the same time. Make sure you give your car a major tune up. Did you check yor starter?.........runjoe
If you have no spark on the coil pack for these cylinders, try scanning the car to see if you get codes for a camshaft positioning sensor or crankshaft positioning sensor.
