Need to change heater coil need a diagram to do so

Not sure what a heater "coil" is. Do you mean a heater "core"?

I looked at info for the 2.5L engine. The violet wire at the coil pack is primary voltage, goes hot with on. Use a test light, is that wire hot? If not back track the circuit. Check fuse 4--20 amp in the diagram for voltage, key on, also check if fuse is blown. Note the diagram. Sorry if diagram is a little small, maybe you can enlarge?

No.4 is at the gearbox end ...run the engine ,pull the plug off the coil and if there is no change then that's the problem...when you change the coil also change the plug

If that was my vehicle I would not have changed one part

I would have gotten out my wiring diagrams & walked thru a
logical sequence of testing what I had & didn't have, as far
as crank sensor output,fuel pressure,injector pulse,etc

Seeing a how pcm's seldom fail ,your just throwing parts at it
& not testing a thing

You need the wiring diagrams to see & learn how the various
systems work

You can actually trigger injectors,coils,relays,etc if you can
use diagrams, test light,meter & jumper wires properly,otherwise
you need professional help

Its a big job, The heater box needs to come out, which entails discharging the AC, removing heater hoses, and hardware at the firewall. The complete dashboard needs to be removed and swung out of the way, steering column lowered , and heater box removed and disassembled for evap replacement ( simplified )

your best bet for a visual of the wiring diagrams is to buy a Haynes book for your truck at Autozone,they have a pretty complete set in the back of every book.$20.00

Usually they won't cross each other. Just run them to the heater core so they don't cross each other.

If it isn't the heater coil, then the only things left are the heater fan fuse or the heater fan motor itself. Check your fuses. If you don't have a fuse diagram, start with highest amp fuses first. The heater motor uses a lot of juice and will probably be on at least a 10 amp fuse. If all the fuses are good then you probably need a new heater fan motor. They usually mount to the fire wall from the engine compartment and are pretty easy to change. Not at all like the heater coil.

remove the hoses at the temp conection inspect them to make sure they are good them follow the one that comes from the pump housing goes to the top of the heather core outlet and the return one to the bottom this may be a bit diferent if the engine is 6cyl or 4cyl.
