Hard start and vibrating when backing up

My car experienced a hard start (which I called due to vibrating, shaking when backing out of driveway when driven first time in day). No vibrating after 2-3 minutes.

My repair shop said it was rack & pinoin problem, although I never experience steering problems. They also fixed alignment, although that didn't seem to be a problem. Shop also replaced two belts.

No vibrating at start anymore, but in paying alot ($900) for rack & pinion, could it have been cheaper problem to stop vibration at start; as I never experienced any problem with steering to begin with.

Check engine light car shaking

Check your spark plugs and leads. If this fails to fix it, then make sure the ignition system is set up properly.

I have a 2002 sebring coupe with a 3.0 v6 mitsubishi engine in it. its acting quite funny for the past 4 days. it vibrates or shakes (sort of the same vibration you get from a misfire) only wen i am...

Based on the info you gave, I would say the engine is experiencing a miss-fire. At some point it should be bad enough to set a code for the cylinder or random missfire.
I would check the plugs and the ignition system first. The engine is working hard when it goes into overdrive at a low speed. Any minor problem will show up then.
The O2 code could be important too, if the fuel system is running lean. It takes more gas when the engine is pulling hard.

My 98 lincoln towncar is vibrating in park and while driving. It will be fine for a while then it starts shaking after being stopped at a light or something. What could be wrong?

I'm willing to bet it has something to do with your radiator fan. If i recall correctly this is clutch driven to control speed and if that clutch is going bad when the car warms up and it calls for the fan to engage then you are experiencing the vibration.

2003 Rendezvous - AWD lamp + noise & vibration from rear.

When my AWD light comes on is has always been due to uneven pressure in the tires. This is hard to believe but has worked up to now and I have 95K miles on it. It started happening around 60K. Changing the tires is another option. I would have the brakes checked if you have a noise from the rear end.

Try this the next time you go out on the highway and it starts to shake put your shifter in over drive if you drive in over drive than put it in drive..... see if that doesn't stop or slow the shakeing in the front end. Let me know.
