Nevr evr replace any part til uknow issue. Unplug computer n clean the pins..it often clears up issue on old cars. Also the ignition module or coils cud be worn. U may needa scan that reads data targeting the problm. Dont go to astealership
If it is the same as a Nissan Sentra, and Nissans were pretty standard, those two would be the accessory relay on the far left and the ignition relay next to it. The other two relays are the fuel pump relay and the ECCS relay (for the engine computer operation).
Does the engine still start and run? The ignition relay doesn't affect engine running. It's primary purpose is to power up that portion of the fuse block that the accessory relay does not cover, like the dash gauges and warning lights and turn signals, a few other too, I think..
the fuel pump is toast, use a volt meter or test light to check for power at pump, if receiving power then pump is faulted, if not receiving power follow wire testing at every connection until you find power. once you find power you will most likely find part at fault if not pump
If your fuel pump is not turning on check the fuses in the fuse box. The fuse locations and amp ratings are in the owners manual. There can also be fuel pump relays in the fuse box. The owners manual will show them if they are in there. If the fuses and relays are OK take the car to a dealer to have the electrical system checked. The car is from 1996, there could be electrical damages from weather and pests that could be living in your car. Also since you have an older car it could be possible that the fuel pump just simply died and needs to be replaced.
There is no fuel pump reset button on the 1992 Maxima. Check your fuel pump fuse under the dash. If it's not blown, check for current at the fuel pump connections. If you have current at the pump, then you probably have a bad fuel pump.
Check the Fuel Pump and Fuel Pump Relay that is in the Fuse Relay Box Under the Hood. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!
