There are many possible reasons for this event and if the compressor is engaging and you dont have the proper training and equipment you need a professional diagnosis in person. You may have under or overcharged refrigerant level. when did it work correctly last? Has there been an attempt to charge the system? If so what were the gauge readings ? Are your cooling fans on your radiator and condensor running? It can be as simple as a servo relay on a gate or door in the plenum directing the air in the wrong direction. Is there condensation dripping from out from under the cowl area? Are any of the a/c lines under the hood sweaty looking? Or it may have a cloged expansion valve or bad compressor. Auto a/c not repaired correctly can and usually does cost more and is frusterating as well as dangerous if not done by a competent trained or knowledgeable person. good luck

Air conditioning system not working in driver's compartment

Could be a damper stuck or not responding. If it keeps air going through heater core, you'll never feel cold air.
Have you verified the compressor clutch is engaged and compressor turning?

Air conditioning blowing warm air.

first of all why did you charge the system it never needs to be recharged unless you have a leak in it that being said when you turn on the ac do you hear the compressor clutch kick in and if so do you see condensation on the accumulator and does it feel cold? yes/no if yes then the vacuum door inside the car is not opening thus giving you warm air========if no the refrigerant leaked out again because of a leak ///// or the cycling switch is bad///// or there is still not enough refrigerant in the system to get the switch to turn on the compressor//// or your compressor is n/g

Air conditioning intermittently not working on

what do you mean intermittently not working.......a/c clutches are meant to kick on and off, depending on the amount of compression the system has......if your not getting cold air i would do a few different things...
check the clutch.....see if it is kicking in when you turn on the a/c.
check the relay make sure there is no corrosion or damage.
if all else fails.....grab a can of a/c oil and Freon...charge your system.

The pressure means nothing as far as the state of charge. You need to have the system completely evacuated and recharged with the specific charge weight for that vehicle. Only then can the pressures or anything else mean anything.

A/c clutch is not kicking on in 1994 E320

How do you know the freon charge is not low ?
If the system is full, you should be able to jumper the relay and make the compressor clutch engage.
If not, the problem could be the low pressure switch or the clutch.

Problem with heating and air conditioning. The driver's side is blowing hot air and the passenger side is blowing cold air

Air Conditioner blows warm air
  1. Air conditioner system is discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
  2. Air conditioner compressor clutch not engaging. Check compressor clutch wiring, electrical connections and compressor clutch, and repair or replace as necessary.

Make sure the pressure is 25 to 45 psi on the low side and that the pipes are getting cold on the low side.

Could be the vacuum controlled motors inside the dash.

Set climate control to hot then cold or the temperature control lever from hot to cold and listen for the vacuum motor operating the flap inside that changes the flow from the heater core to the evaporator inside the dash area.

Good luck to you.

When I turn on the ac it blow out hot air.

Do you hear the air conditioning compressor switch on (with the engine running) when you turn on the air conditioning from inside the car. Get a friend to turn on and off the air conditioning while you listen with the hood open engine running you should hear a clicking sound on and off each time the a/c is cycled on and off or the a/c clutch is not locking up the compressor. This may be due to many things (bad clutch, bad compressor, no power to controls or compressor clutch) but it could be a sign of low charge the system has a low pressure switch which prevents the system from being energized if the system has low refrigerant charge. By protecting itself it prevent catastrophic failure of the compressor and ensuing damage to the rest of the a/c system if the system looses it charge. You will need to have the system checked out by someone experienced in air conditioning work who will attach pressure gauges to your car and see if the refrigerant pressures are OK. The system naturally looses some refrigerant over time but if the system constantly looses charge then it has a leak that must be investigated and repaired before just recharging the system
