I would recommend looking in your vehicals owners manual in the service and appearance care section each manufacturer recommends different mileages on what tasks to perform at certain times, in that section it will state what mileage to change the fuel filter on your particular model ford, I would say anywhere from 30,000 to 60,000 miles probably but make sure first by looking in your manual...
Check your owner's manual. and the fact that your car is 2008 i would say it still early for changing it But you can Inspect it after 50.000. then you can replace it if necceray or if you discovered any starting problems, And also its recomanded to change it every couple of years to reduce the risk of a plugged fuel line causing driveability or starting problems But this should be done only if your car has high mileage . and Rough use.
