Smell fuel to see if you can smell diesel ,if it appears ok then take car to a bosch dealer specialist garage ,iam having thoughts of the -ecu but i do hope iam wrong
appreciate it very much, fuel is great, i filled it up with 98 RON and added octane booster. However the dealer said that it may be bad fuel. I will keep all posted.
this is not a problem but it will run on cheaper 95 ,only wish you were around the corner then i could kick the bumper swear at it in german and maybe even think out a cure ,now as this is a VW made in germany --- well in europe encrypted software is used to stop general mecahnics from reading the codes and whatever else we do so they encrypt the software because if i plug into this vehicle iam lucky to get the chassis number out of it ,this is where i think the problem is the dealer in europe has to connect to car then to internet ,then factory shuts off and then re dials back to confirm phone number and computer IP ,then and only then can it be read and anything done so iam wondering if you have a escaped vehicle with europeon software that your dealer cannot read hence no codes .i wouldnt mind betting its a temperature sensor for the autochoke causing the problem ,I have just done a course where we do not plug in for diagnostics but use a scope /dwell meter/frequency meter /and volt meter to diagnose the faults because this course was operated by the people who try to sell fancy software machines for the OBDII but as newer cars from 2005 cannot be read they operate this course and then sell you the meters ,please keep me informed and do show this to the dealer and see what they say i would be interested in what they say .
