Underneath a cover by the driver side sliding door - where the passenger seat-belt is anchored, there is a black box that moans. We unplugged it and the van works fine. Hard to read the numbers on it but looks like CHB5127001. Is it something to do with the leveling system? The air compressor still works when this box is unplugged.

  • Jill K Mar 12, 2014

So, that actuator is part 15-72786 by Delco but for $50 we probably won't replace it. BUT in the meantime, there was a similar moaning behind the glove box. We took out the box and disconnected that actuator which was up on the right side. It's part 15-72651 Delco. It operates the air inlet (fresh air to recycled air).

  • Jill K May 12, 2014

Follow up-replacing the part was almost impossible. Luckily I work at a towing place and one of the guys there managed to change it in about 10 minutes after I struggled for hours. It's not what you know..... But the part works great!!!

SOURCE: Power door locks won't work

You need to have someone or yoursef check the body control module with a compatible scan tool. Thats where the problem you are having resides. It may need a software update or replacement. You can also disconnect the battery for a few minutes, that will cause the BCM to reset and may fix it.

SOURCE: Door will close but latch will not lock

I have this problem as well. The latch is getting stuck. I haven't been able to fix it permanently but you can get it to latch if you hit the door by the handle. It will release the latch and allow it to latch when you close the door.

SOURCE: air conditioning not working on driver side

sounds like one of the mixing doors on the drivers side is stuck on the heater side. or the vacuum hose on the mixing door is off of not creating enough vacuum because of a crack in it or possibly coming off

2009 Chevy Impala LT code b001b What to do with this?

Code B001b is for Sensing Diagnostic Module (SDM) for Air bag.

Potential Causes:-
  • Drivers Seat Belt Anchor Pretensioner
  • Passengers Seat Belt Anchor Pretensioner
  • Sensing Diagnostic Module (SDM)
  • Sensing Diagnostic Module (SDM) Wiring
1. Confirm the passenger seat belt anchor pre tensioner connector position assurance is clicked into place.

2. If not, click it in and retest.

3. If the codes reset, disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.

4. Substitute a 2.0 to 2.2 ohm resistor for the passenger seat belt anchor pretensioner. Refer to Tech Tips for a load tool.

5. Retest for the code to reset.

6. If the code resets, check for harness problems between the seat belt anchor pretensioner and the Sensing Diagnostic Module (SDM).
Tech Tips: At the beginning of the 2009 model year, the Impala began being equipped with two pre tensioners for the driver and two pre tensioners for the front passenger. The first pretensioner is still attached to the seatbelt retractor. The second pretensioner is attached to the anchor point for the seat belt.
A load tool can be fashioned from an 1157 light bulb and socket. Turn the bulb into the socket. Using an ohmmeter, determine which 2 wires have 2 - 3 ohms of resistance. Use those 2 wires as the load tool.

Where are the fuses located for the air conditioner in a 2001 pontiac bonneville

The interior fuse box in a Pontiac Bonneville is underneath the backseat on the driver's side.

To remove the rear seat cushion:
1. Pull up on the front of the cushion to release the
front hooks.
2. Pull the cushion up and out toward the front of
the vehicle.

To reinstall the rear seat cushion:

1. Buckle the center passenger position safety belt, then
route the safety belts through the proper slots in the
seat cushion. Don't let the safety belts get twisted.
2. Slide the rear of the cushion up and under the
seatback so the rear - locating guides hook into the
wire loops on the back frame.
3. With the seat cushion lowered, push rearward and
then press down on the seat cushion until the spring
locks on both ends engage.
4. Check to make sure the safety belts are properly
routed and that no portion of any safety belt is
trapped under the seat. Also make sure the seat
cushion is secured.

Notice:
The battery and main fuse blocks are located
under the rear seat cushion. The battery's ground
terminal and some relay wires are exposed.
To help avoid damage to the battery and wires,
be careful when removing or reinstalling the seat
cushion. Do not remove covers from covered
parts. Do not store anything under the seat, as
objects could touch exposed wires and cause
a short.

Driverside seat wont move ,stuck in farthest back position

The fuses for the seat are shared with other features on the car such as power antenna. Has any other power feature gone off as well?
Check the runners the seat slides in. There might be something trapped in there blocking the running action.
There are two fuse boxes. One under the hood in the rear drivers side corner, under a black plastic cover. The other is inside the car, inside the end panel of the dash. (With the door open).
Check fuses 1 and 18 as they cover the power seat functions.
