Flashing engine and tracking light
If the "check engine" or "service engine soon" light is flashing, it could be the engine is miss firing. This could be caused by a bad spark plug wire or spark plug. How old are they? After changing the plugs on my 2001 Olds Alero (at 125k miles) I noticed the engine occasionally miss fired and the "service engine soon" light started blinking. I used a timing light to determine which cylinder was miss firing and changed that spark plug wire. Advise would be to change the whole ignition wire set, but I was cheap and just changed the one wire, which cost $23 from a GM dealer. That was 14 months ago and the car runs great.
I have a car in the shop right now same thing - it is being caused by a misfire. Need a real technition to diagnose the problem (auto zone - advance auto can't diagnose the problem - only read the code)
mine was caused by a failing fuel injector. good luck

No abs light with the tracking light? best chance, find an (free)autozone or (free)advance auto and have them check the engine light. their scanner will do you no good on the tracking light though (unfortunately). find out why the engine light is on.

2001 Oldsmobile Alero tire pressure low light is on. Checked all tires and pressure is good in each. Had oil change with tire rotation and the mechanic turned the light off. Next day, light back on and pressures are all okay?
