Child lock on back door is stuck in locked position. So when you are in the back seat , you can't get out of the car. The door won't open from inside.

Cannot open rear drivers side door from outside or inside. door panel is off, door is closed. child lock is on. tried pulling cable, wont move. tried lifting up the child lock with a thin blade

Sounds like the lock mechanism is stuck on the locked position. Since you didn't specify make and model this is a best guess. Make sure the lock is in the unlock position and try manipulating the rod connected to the outside handle (since child lock is on the inside handle won't work)

My back door in 2004 Ford focus child locks are locked and I can't close my door. How do I disengage the child lock to close my door?

Your latch may be stuck in the latched position. Try pulling on the handle as to open the door while lifting the latch arm.

Free holden manuals

child locks are on the back doors only and are underneath the door at the trim edge around seat height. If you cannot open the door from the inside but can from the outside then it has child locks.

to open door with child lock activated, insert a plastic strip( i used from Milk bottle) from outside where the child lock is. Try to push plastic in such a way the child lock push from closed position to open position. Myself did it in 3 attempts and door was able to open from inside in megane fidji 51 reg.

My back doors wont open

If your back doors won't open from the inside then the child proof locks maybe turned on. Open the door from the outside and look at the edge of the door near the lock for a small lever or screw setting for the child proof lock. Tun off the child proof lock and then you can open the back door from the inside.

Door on 95 geo metro 4 door won't close because the child proof lock in on and I can't get it to go off. Door won't stay shut. Any ideas how to fix this?

Your childproof lock have nothing to do with the latch not closing. It only makes it where you can not open the door from the inside. I would think you are in need of a new latch.

The child locks are stuck it only opens from the outside

there is a slider switch on the door(between door and frame) that you can lock or unlock the child locks to prevent them from opening the door from inside but still can open door from outside----just slide the lock switch to enable or disable the child lock.

if they are stuck/stiff---you may have to remove the door panel for repair.

Usually they work free with a liitle lubricant(WD-40) to slide easier.

Chid door lock doesn't work, I try to put it to normal pos

I had the same problem when I changed out my window regulator. Take the door apart remove lock and make sure the rod is connected to the little white piece on back of the child safety lock not under it or in the bottom of your door which is enabling it not to move at all because it is not connected this will fix your problem make sure not to knock the window pin out of place wutxtye0rjd9d9ekmodqt1eoxkvn9hr9qjz1l3dabggyud7sdgr36czsrfxqenadhnijx9nfayi+sz1sug0aaaaasuvork5cyii=
