2006 silverado wt 1500, had a remote start system installed and power locks. Shortly after the truck wouldn't start at all anymore. So had the remote start disabled but the power locks still work. Since the remote starts been disabled the truck starts fine everytime. The dealership tells us its the remote start, the business that installed the remote start is blaming the ignition for being faulty. Tryin to get a straight answer as to we have 2 of these trucks, and the other one is fine with the same remote start and power lock set up.

If you are still using the compustar remotes and they are working then the remote start is still hooked up. What did the dealership say exactly? What is the shop telling you. The dealerships likes to blame everything on he remote start but if they cant give you a exact reason why the remote start caused the car not to start they are probably just guessing it's the starter. If the remote start wasn't installed correctly or a part failed when u were trying to crank the truck you would of seen the security light flashing on the dash rapidly, it looks like a car with a lock on top of it. Do u remember if that ever happened.
