Hi, from your description it sounds like you have a wheel bearing problem in the rear of the car. It is common to have one or both wheel bearings fail causing a whirring type noise like the one you are hearing.
You can get the parts in the USA on this LINK......

I hear a whine noise in the rear end when sterring to the right but cant find out which bearing is bad

i will think that its the right rear, not because your turning right do i say this but because of the way bearings ride on pressure and negative pressure. see when you turn right the bearings on the right hand side will ride tight on the top and loose on the bottom. when you turn left the bearings will ride loose on the top and tight on the bottom. This is difficult to say without someone in the trunk while you drive listening for direction of sound. Also when bearings or u-joints go bad the sound can carry through drive shafts, axle housings and make it very difficult to locate. the only true way is to tear down and inspect races, axle shafts for wear.

I have a jaguar x type 2004 deisel I have replaced the back wheel hub assembly but there is still play from top to bottom

check your stabalizer bars in the back see if one is loose think thats right name for them but connect to tire to axle around inch diameter they can cause wheel play also check where strut shock mounts to the axle make sure not loose or play in that causing play up down

2001 dodge neon, 5 spd std, has whirring noise in rt frt wheel

YES THE CV AXLES DO MAKE A SIMILAR NOISE WHEN GOING BAD BECAUSE THE CAGE THAT THE BALL-BEARINGS ARE IN VIBRATE AS THEY ROTATE. A CLICKING SOUND AROUND TURNS ARE ANOTHER INDICATION OF BAD CV AXLES.HOPE THIS SOLVES THE PROBLEM. KEEP ME POSTED PLEASE. GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR YOUR HONEST RATING. THANK YOU NALSO FOR USING FIX-YA. WITING FOR YOUR REPLY.

Whirring/whining noise from rear trans-axle

check your rear end and make sure it has plenty of gear oil..if full then there is friction in it somewhere and it is probly getting ready to go out.
