no it comes up from bottom I have answered this its a drain channel under floor board gets plugged and then water has no where to go but up into the car you need to drill under the car into the channel to allow drainage.

Sounds like you may have a issue with the heater core its located under the dash and when they leak crack they have to be replaced they leak on to the floor and cause you to loose your heat

Sorry that was my first guess on the matter please let me earn 4 thunbs up 2 hurts my rating. Have you inspected the seals around the windshield there is a good chance it could be leaking causing it to go behind the dash and to the floor or the seal around the drivers door.

    No Sunroof

Any bodyseems in the wiperarm Area that could open up

  • Anonymous Dec 02, 2010

It could leak where the wiper arm goes on there is a hole under the wiper arm which if got rusted or something could cause this issue. You will want to remove the wiper arm and put water there in the hole see if it goes into the car.

The heater core would leak on the passenger side. Look for a plug missing on the firewall. Or if you or someone added any electrical gadgets and ran wires thrue the dash or firewall and didnt seal them.

1996 grand am 3.1 wet floor on drivers side?

Either your AC drain is clogged or the heater core is failing. Does your heat work well and blow hot air? If so, it's likely a clogged AC drain (although a bad heater core could be the issue). If it does not, your heater core is shot (replacement involves removal of the dashboard).

Your heater core may be leaking coolant into the car.
Or your front window or door seals may be leaking.
