First check the fuse to the blower motor. if good then it may be the blower motor may be bad it is under the dash on the passenger side. If that is good then it may be your heater core

Need more info. Is the Blower fan working? change air output to only vent. Do you feel a change when switching the knob from full cold to full hot at the upper vent?

  • imgrate_ful Dec 01, 2010

Blower is working on all speeds, hot for a second when switching from cold to hot.

Okay, switch to hot on temp control, warm up car to normal operating temp. You will see at the firewall a couple of heater hoses but only 2 go in the firewall to inside of the vehicle. Be careful because of engine hot and moving belt. Reach down probably with your left hand and touch one hose at a time. Most likely 1 hose will be hot to touch and the other will be cold or cool. If there is a big difference then your heater core is clogged and needs replacement. Very expensive repair $800

Where is the fuse for the heater located?

Ok, there is going to be a box underneath the hood of your car. It is usually on the drivers side. You will be able to open this box and there should be a diagram on which fuse is the heater. Be sure to take off the battery terminals before switching these fuses out (just in case).

I have a 2002 mercury sable....i replaced the heater core....now my power windows dont work...my windsheild wipers dont work....my boot release dont work...radio dont work.....what is going on

As you probably know, the dash must be removed to access the heater core, there was probably a connector left loose behind the dash somewhere.

Where is the fuel pump in 2002 Mercury Sable

it is in the gas tank you have to drop the tank and it goes down in the top although i would locate the filter on the frame rail first and replace it its cheaper and i reccomend you replace it anyway with a pump change
